Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

I have a guy that manages my mutual funds. I haven't even asked him about GME because I know what he'll say, and I don't want to listen to it.

One day when it's all over, I'm going to call him up and be like, "Wow, did you see that GME play? Crazy wasn't it. Wish I had been in on it or known somebody that could have given me a heads up!"

And he'll say, "blah blah, speculation, blah blah long term goals."

And then I'll transfer 40 million dollars into that account and tell him he's fired.

In truth he's a pretty good money manager, but I know right now if I asked him about GME he'd tell me it's a fools errand.

 

Does he really think that, or is that what he has to tell his customers?

 

He's gotta be like 60 by now, so probably a little bit of both.

You have to commit...the money I have in things like $GME and $GTii (and a few other things...) is there for all or nothing...I can't sit there and hem and haw over dips...I'm holding for

He's there to put you in a dependable family sedan that gets good mileage...

Yah he's a good dude, and it's not his place to even mention shit like GME -- that's not what his company's about. I'm not gonna fire him either, but I am gonna drop him the biggest surprise in the history of surprises with that deposit.

Not surprised in the least and if I was making % on gross sales I'd be selling to anyone...You think they care about burning that bridge to leave those buyers out to dry? Nope....they buyers are probably ALREADY leveraged to the tits and losses on those wink wink nudge nudge shares at a discount hopefully dig the hole deeper....they ONLY bought those lots because they thought they were getting an advantaged quick discount behind the scenes.....Now that they got ripped off they're all "Whoa is me"
You don't see them coming forward to give away cash they pocketed in the past on similarly transferred discount shares...or Put positions they took knowing the sell off was coming...

and BTW remember the talk of the super high put volume for the end of march and april....GEeee I wonder who was buying all those? These guys who knew they were in trouble and going to have to dump shares?
They look to make $$$ to the end.
That's why one scenario is a hedgie buying calls on $GME through a separate market maker.... knowing their short position will yield a squeeze...they fold the LLC that's short and make the one market maker purchase the shares, stock goes platinum and they cash in...

 

Have you seen the "Walkin' Like a Duck" video? If what's shown there (looks legit to my dimple brain) is true then the whole damn system is in bed with one another.

So happy they made a summary video because I usually read all the DD but it was so so so dense, even with them explaining it like I am a child it took a few "wait, what?" rewind moments...

For those who have migrated from RH to Fidelity - do I start the process on Fidelity or in RH? I just want to move my $GME there so they are save. The rest is fine in RH until I sell...

...and for the transfer fee, were you able to get Fidelity to waive it?

 

#1. Make sure everything is settled in your RH account. No options close to expiry, no partial shares. If you are transferring options over, make sure you have the correct trading level availability at Fidelity. It took me longer to get my options application approved than it did for the transfer to go through. If you don't want to wait, sell your existing RH options and let the cash settle.

#2. Start the transfer through Fidelity. Fill out the paperwork they ask and they will handle it from there.

#3. After transfer is done (3-5 days) call Fidelity and ask them to credit you back the $75

#4. RH accounts seem to transfer in as margin. You don't have to have margin approval to do the transfer, but the assets might show up as margin. I called and had them move mine to cash.

Edit: Just saw you only wanted to transfer your GME shares. There's a partial asset transfer form you'll use instead.

 

Just made a transfer to my TD account and it said funds won’t settle until 4/13. Never had this delay before.
