What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Took a day trip to my local Discount Tire to swap some tires and pick up new wheels. Now to beat the rain home.

Washed the truck this morning and did a quick spray coat of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wax before the pollen covers it back up. I also removed the cabin filter and sprayed Lysol through the cowl intake and from inside the filter housing to sanitize any bacteria going through the system. Since I live in the heart of NC's pine tree mecca, I used some aluminum window screen to cover the cowl intake port to keep pine needles, leaves, and other debris out. It's not pretty but it's functional.

 

Generally speaking, having the largest tires and lowest ride height can prove to be a very effective offroad combo (as long as you have clearance and travel). TYPICALLY.

 

An hour and a half later.

 

cleaned out the AC evap coils cause i was getting a mold smell from the AC.. Used the Subaru stuff instead of the toyota brand. same stuff, just cheaper! got rid of the smell quick and easy too

 

Looks great man! Glad it found a good home, we'll have to meet up for some trail/camping trips sometime

 

make sure you spray your engine intake with lysol or fabreze so your exhaust smells lovely

As a fellow black vehicle owner I feel your pain.

 

I use that Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic coat stuff as well. Really like that product! Now Aerospace 303 has a ceramic spray of some kind... might give that a try next after I use up all my TurtleWax.

 

I really like it, and it goes on fast and easy. I know it's not a "true ceramic" but for what it does I'm happy.

 

Ya I use it after every wash just cause it's so easy.

New summer skins chalked in and a pressure wash. Couple of folks at the scrapyard across from the big empty lot where I did the chalking watched me like I was juggling burning chainsaws.

 

Nothing special. New factory rotors and pads. Second pad retaining clips added. The OG’s lasted 102K.

 

Gained (at least) 10 HP today. Pretty stoked.

Ozone is awesome for smells and sanitation. I use aqueous ozone on everything. Aqueous ozone generators are fairly cheap.

My daughter dropped whole milk hot chocolate all over my wife's car. Only thing that destroyed the small was ozone water.

 

WiFi was terrible too. Would never go back.

 

First hand wash of 2021. So much better than the touchless I've been going to all winter. Spray Wax from last fall is still beading nicely.

 

But you notice all the little rust points, dings, scratches, etc.

Added dirt bike / mini bike carrier mod. Will be nice to start bringing them camping. Need to add some strength to it for my driving style but overall pretty happy with it. Got it from Northern Tool. When the high clearance rear gets back from powder coat the ramp might be a little too steep and need a little modification as well..
