    So I was parked against the curb in front of the post office, nicely within the lines of the space, while I’m messing with my phone figuring out my next stop this happens

    That first photo is how everyone parallel parks down here. At least a foot and a half away from the curb. Parallel parking isn't taught in driver's Ed in North Carolina, nor is it a part of the driving test to get a permit/license. So as a result everyone is crap at it.

    I got my CDL in the Chicagoland area and having never really parallel parked anything, I had to parallel park a bus for the test. Needless to say, I have it mastered now and always offer to park my friends and relatives cars anytime we are in the "city" here in the south. :laugh:

    They (a couple) were not receptive at all. From me or the other person parked on their right side. So after talking with two different parties the couple still couldn't see the error of their ways. Pathetic.
