Intro to fitting 35s (< 3" Lifts for those that wheel and love alignments)

It's more a backspace issue than an UCA one though UCA do vary in size. You can either run spacers or get wheels with the correct backspacing.

 

So get new wheels is what you're telling me?

 

I think zero backspace. I bought them used and didn't even think to check at the time. I have some spidertrax 1.25s on now and have plenty of clearance from the uca but definitely screws me in the back. Doing the cab mount relocation tomorrow but will still run into issues with the body with the spacer.

 

What are your wheel specs? I think you mean 0 offset?

You could try .75" wheel spacers. I run .75" bora spacers to clear my JBA UCA. My wheels are 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75"bs.

35/12.5? and 1.25" spacers will likely rub a lot.

 

315 75 16 so closer to 34.5 than anything.

My methods don't have the open space to run much thinner spacers like some other wheels. I may be able to get away with 1 inch before the studs stick out.

 

You need around 4.0 or less back spacing.

Thats interesting, sounds like a bitch but sounds better than running a 1.25" spacer or getting new wheels. SCS is sold out of the F5s anyway. Did you have a kit in mind?

 

Have you thought about going 35x11.5 size tire?

 

I run 16s, is that even an option for that wheel size?

Oh no I do, thats why I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. They are 16x8 4.5in bs. Those will rub on my jba ucas?

 

Yes I can for sure say so. I have JBAs with 4” BS and rub at 90-100% full turn.

 

Looks like some spidertrax 1.25" are needed, I don't think I'm gonna have any luck finding a 1in hubcentric spacer

 

You can order any size from bora. You can even get 1 inch with studs built in I believe. Give them a call. They’re great.

 

Yup, I second Bora. A 1” spacer would probably be perfect with 315/75/16’s putting you at 3.5” BS. My 3.75” BS wheels allow my 315/75/16’s to rub the UCA’s at full lock. Here’s a link to a thread about their 1” spacers.

I ordered .75" bora and it took 2.5 weeks to be at my door.

 

Custom made to order. And they have a lot of products. Definitely not Amazon fast but cool to support an American company in my opinion.

 

Going through their site now, it's pretty sick someone does this. They ask for 25mm (.98in) or 26mm (1.02in). Should I go 26mm?

 

You’re only talking 1 mm it won’t matter. But I’d say 25 i guess. Honestly won’t make a difference.
