    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I'm wanting to go up there, literally, the day it friggen opens

Actually thinking about joining 4wd InMotion (They are the group that basically manages Niagara Rim, they'll probably be up there to clear the trail before it opens)

Oooohhhh.... I'm down for NRT again. That was fun wheeling. I'm 90% sure that I only had sliders for the first run. The second time I had my skids, sliders, and 2" lift. The biggest difference my butt dyno noticed was tires. 1st run had Hankook Dynapro ATM's, second had Cooper ST Maxx. I'm loving the heavy tires for wheeling and such and they are worth the MPG hit. Hardbrake Hill wasn't too bad in 4L and low gear. Let the engine do the work and save the brakes.
I'm not sure if I have balls of steel or am just stupid. I bought my truck to wheel, so cosmetic adjustments are going to happen from time to time. I do know that I'm all out of fucks. That cheese sammich was back in 1987 and damn it was good.

Anyone have rock sliders on a 2nd gen single cab I can look at ? I’ll most likely make some out of square tube . I know DOM tubing makes a difference but is it that big of a deal for what I’m going to do ?

“Stubborn like bull” it’s not my best trait for sure, but it has come in handy on some occasions.

It's that time of year again. Early season wheeling is actually my favorite. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but every mile is an adventure. Can't tell you how many miles of road I've cleared in the past... but I'm ready to fire up the chainsaw and do it again

    Who's up for some adventure?

    Sorta need to vent

Today, just 15 minutes ago i was transitioning from I-5 North to 120 East (right on the mossdale crossing bridge) and i notice the fast lane is dead stopped. Everyones blinker is on trying to get over into my lane. So i cruise up to the "blockage"

Its a 65+ year old man, broke down in the passing lane, trying to push his dodge dakota uphill and to the shoulder. I fucking lost it.

i immediately stopped and jumped out of my truck and helped this guy push his truck onto the shoulder. We got his truck off the freeway, i made sure he was ok, asked if he needed help... then walking back to my truck (which was blocking the lanes so we didnt get ran over trying to push) and started yelling/flipping off everyone who just sat there and watched this old guy struggle. After a few moments of blind rage angry at all these selfish people, I got back in my truck and continued to call CHP just to confirm that they have someone on the way before i leave this poor guy and his dog.

I understand some of these people i hate so much may have disabilities or another compelling reason they couldnt help this man. But i dont give a shit, i know for a fact the two people i made eye contact with and explicitly told to go fuck themselves were in good enough shape to help this guy. Not just sit there with a "not my problem, get out of my way" attitude.

    Goddam i hate people.

    did i over react? probably
But im fucking sick of watching the country i pledged my life to protect turn into utter shit. I was not raised this way, to be selfish in the face of difficulties. But that seems to be the norm these days. "not my problem, gotta worry about me and my own"

    Thanks fellas.

I was really, really mad. Im fortunate no one got out of their vehicle to confront my attitude, it would not have ended well.
Afterwards i got really sad, pretty much lost my appetite.

I drove over 250 miles today and somehow inspected a dozen roofs in between all that. Its been a long week of this since two of our guys are out on vacation at the same time. I had been sitting in that same traffic since Fremont, i get it, I wanna go home too.

but jesus fucking christ. most people arent worth the shits they take every day.
I cant wait to move far away from this place and die in the mountains.
