Dang, my sense of time is really fucked with all the working from home. I can't believe his parts have been out that long already.

I'm currently installing the kit so no long term review, but I can say the install is pretty straight forward if you have moderate fab skills and are somewhat logical.

They went away from the machined pucks and are using laser cut, zinc coated spacers now. They are probably 1/4" thick? each so you can make adjustments as needed.

I'm looking forward to my Locked Offroad coilovers/stuff. I can let you know how they are, but people seem pretty satisfied with their hydrobumps.

Speaking of Locked. Not sure if Riley has made any changes, but the threaded kit I have sits pretty low and the bumps have a thick strike pad. So if you do go with locked bumps, either go with the non-threaded ones and weld in a mount, or make sure that the threaded kit doesn't limit bump travel before you buy it. It's a quality product just an odd design choice. I plan on contacting Riley to see if they we can come up with a better solution, because once my smoothies come in, I'll be missing out on close to 1.5" of bump-travel.

Is this their Tacoma specific one?

My plan (down the road) is to just get the pin kit and weld it on myself.

Yes, that is the tacoma specific kit. You'll be fine with the pin kit. The bumps are solid, but the mount is kinda garbage. I forgot we also had grind it to get the bumps to fit because it had warped so much from the factory welds.

Some guys use duro or super bumps up front instead of hydro bumps. Either way no more than a 2.0x2” anywhere

I have locked pin 2x2” ones in the rear, and then superbumps up front. Love that combo.

isn't the threaded kit meant for SUA setups?

That really wouldn't make sense. You're supposed to bump higher with an SUA kit.

Sorry, not super familiar with the locked kits or SUA tbh, its just that the leaf pack height will impact when the bump engage, and the kit should be "customized" for every leaf pack?

Or is that what the threaded adjustability is intended to allow for the variations in leaf pack size.

If he were bumping at the axle with how that bumpstop is set, he would be well past the allowable travel of the bypass.

edit, wow I forgot so many words

Yeah threaded bump kits in a general sense are supposed to do away with any welding with a bolt on bracket and threaded height adjustment
