You get the premium subscription for free if you are a Trailforks mod for your local area. That means reviewing and approving trail submissions and flag requests. A friend does this for Arizona. TF is very up to date there.

For anyone complaining about the TF fee I can tell you software developers aren't cheap. Yeah PB intended to keep Trailforks free, but if they wanted to make it truly useful they had to make some major upgrades, and that takes a lot of $$. Things like new map layers, heatmap, etc are also subscriptions that have to be paid for. Something like access to google satellite imagery costs $30-40k+ per year. They're now importing trail data from Open street map and other sources so we'll have trail data where riders haven't uploaded trails yet. All of this helps make for more useful maps. I'm someone who's always bought paper maps from Nat Geo or other makers since online sources weren't that good. This is very quickly eliminating that need. The big thing they need IMO is a better basemap that can be accessed when you are out of service range. Right now you often get a screen that's blank aside from the trails in their database.

This is something that slightly annoys me. I don't want any of that shenanigans. If they could do an a la carte like Gaia does (ish) that would be better. "Do you want satellite images? No? then it's 0.50c less per month" or something. But I know how much programming that entails.

    Right.

Now apply that logic to super-adjustable forks and $1000+ shocks. "Bro it transformed my bike." Man, you're dragging rear brake on a green trail, you sure as shit can't tell the difference in your HSC and LSC.

    Blah I'm a grump

Correct me if I am wrong but they only pay subscription fees for basemaps because they themselves are charging money for it. I dabble a bit in the GIS world and most websites that have a sort of map layer on them don't pay google anything because their service is free. Don't get me wrong google is probably collecting data from those sites and somehow selling that to advertisers.

With Enve's warranty just run the lightest XC wheels on the enduro, bust them no questions asked replacement lol.

It's about the Kashima bro, I agree switching from a Performance fork to a Factory fork is going to be very miniscule if still using same dampener.

I get the point in if someone wants to buy a nice set of wheels and take from bike to bike though. I don't see the boost or superboost+ standard being replaced so it's a pretty safe bet to buy a lifetime wheel.

I want to sell my SRAM Guide T's and get Shimano XT 2-piston. What do you think the SRAM's are worth?

I am getting the Saints, unsure if I want to move the Codes to the 5010 or not.

I'll let this page know though for sure, I doubt I'll be throwing them on as soon as I get them anyways.

I'll whole heartedly say some of what you stated describes me. Riding bikes is about having fun. If my buying expensive doodads for my bike that exceed my capabilities or knowledge bothers you, well, sounds like thats your problem. Puts a smile on my face and looks killer sitting in my garage

Nothing personal. We all have grumpy days. Sometimes I address mine by buying expensive doodads for my bike that exceed my capabilities or knowledge.....

Dude, I still admire this dudes EEwings when I look at his bike. Simple cranks made of Ti, those Industry 9 Carbon Hydra wheels, etc... I did steer him onto those Wild Enduros though and he loves them, dudes got money and had tried most tires anyways.

In due time, in due time.

We’re all on TW, we all know what it’s like to be overbuilt and buy things with our hearts and not our heads

Does anyone have a 1up 2" super duty hitch mount? I ordered the single version for now, but I was unable to find the difference (visually) between the heavy duty and the super duty. I understand there is a weight capacity difference, but if anyone has one could you post a photo of one?

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I just paid $120 for the sram bleed kit and pads so I may as well try giving them another chance.

    not enough.
Kinda hard to tell the difference unless you look underneath it. the difference is a plate that allows the super duty to carry a little bit more weight over the heavy duty.

    at least to my understanding.

    I have a 2" 2 rack super duty.

The strongest way to buy it is roof racks and the double hitch separate. That’s what I did.

The bottom of the rack then is one solid piece of aluminum and not two separate.

Totally and to each their own. At this point I don't have expendable income so my preference is to ride a clapped-out bike really well then investing all that money elsewhere, so it makes me more!
