Two titans running ursas is good for that tank room when you drop in to get control of the situation. Then again when the tanks roll out

 

Two titans wit ursa’s is definitely a good play. As far as the tanks go... they should be prioritized last and the adds and champions prioritized first. The tanks are easy enough to avoid. The snipers that spawn on the left and right pillars should be taken down quickly as soon as they reappear.

I only have a Hunter and WL so I can’t run Titan. But my closet friends in the clan run WL and Titan respectively. So Hunter, WL, Titan it is. We’ll figure it out. One thing is for sure... I would LFG this one.

 

With the good drops i have im happy with this. Ill get my WL up a bit more and the kinks worked out. I didnt plan to attempt gm until the weekend.

I feel the hunter will be the hardest class cause tether sucks. You get melted if you jump and pop it.

 

I agree with you. This was the week I was planning on farming the NF and I’m happy Bungie made it hard to farm. Yep... Hunter tether without a Titan shield to hide behind would be a nightmare. This week each class will really have to lean heavily into the mods that you have equipped. Revenant Hunter with the correct mods to allow “Light based” subclasses to do more damage will be about the only play that I can see. Arcstrider is out of the question along with Golden Gun since it’s only good for burst damage. Making your entire team invis would be nice but the fireballs can still track you through invis. So Stasis is the only class I can really see that’s viable. But... since I main a Hunter, I’ll figure out a way to get it done. I’ve been able to complete everything else in the game so far. This won’t be any different.

Played a shit ton of Elimination last night then we switched over to our regular private matches. For anyone interested in how to play cover or recognize sound ques, this was a pretty good video from last night on how to position yourself with a way out and also to notice when a certain grenade is being charged up or just seeing when not to engage in a play that is pretty much not conducive to you having a positive outcome.

For those that are interested in the chest piece for you character. Bunker E15 is up today and it is the easiest Lost Sector to complete. Overload Champions and only one Barrier Champion. Riskruner is the way to go in this Lost Sector since everything is either shooting you with arc damage or when you kill a Vex they drop a pool of arc damage. Step in the pool and step out and you never have to reload. I didn't even spec for the one Barrier Champion. The Barrier Champion spawns in the middle part of the Lost Sector. If you have a Rocket Launcher with Lasting Impression on it, just wait until he drops his shield and stick a rocket on him and he is done. When you get to the final room you will have two more Overload Champions to contend with. Stand in the doorway of the final room, take out the snipers and some Vex and then do damage to the Hydra. One will come out when the Hydra is at 66% and another will come out at 33%. Stun them with the Riskrunner and either grenade them down or use a heavy on them. Once the second Overload is dead, your minions should have the Hydra almost down by then. Just make sure you kill the second Champion "before" the Hydra goes down. Only takes about 5 mins to do this Lost Sector. I got the Chest Piece to drop on the 3rd run with really good rolls.

One other thing... You do not have to continue to farm the Lost Sector after you get the chest piece to drop if you don't want to. It will automatically be added to your world exotic drop pool so anytime an exotic drops in the world there is a chance that it will be a Lost Sector piece. If you want to farm for better stats by all means keep farming this Lost Sector since it is extremely easy and fast. But I got a good roll on mine so I'm done with it. I'll probably never use the Chest Piece for the Hunter but at least I can say that I've got it. Also got the catalyst for the Telesto to drop also.

 

Finally hit 1310 without factoring in the artifact (1331 with the artifact). But I can’t get a 1310 weapon drop to save my life. Powerful Engrams are the same as Pinnacle Engrams now so there is no difference. But almost every drop has been for armor which I don’t need. I need to fill out my weapons with engrams to bring all the ones I use up to max level. Frustrating....

Well... yeah. I hate this raid though. Plus I have a shit ton more weapons to upgrade than armor. Add to that, I could run the raid and get nothing but armor which is what the game seems to want to give me anyway. I’ve just leveled this season from the random pinnacles each week and trials.

 

Goddamnit... Even the fucking Gunsmith gave me armor

Lol... fuck no. I'm just glad that they are giving console players the ability to opt out of playing against the PC pool once cross platform play comes later this year. Not only because of the inherent advantage that PC players have over console players due to a superior input device but also just the sheer amount of cheating that goes on, on the PC side of things. Now that the PS5 allows for 60 & 120 FPS and a FOV slider? I see no reason to ever switch to PC.

 

Ah well. Was thinking about getting back into it but don't want to play solo, figured I'd ask.

I'm honestly not sure how many people play on PC in this thread? I know I won't be switching for the reasons I mentioned above but also because the only PC's I own are MacBook Pros and iMacs for Photo / Video processing.

If you should ever decide to switch over to console we have a great clan that I created well over 6 years ago. I, along with a few others, focus mainly on PvP. But with VoG being re-released next season... I'll live in there each week. That was always one of my favorite raids out of D1 along with Kings Fall. I just HATE Deep Stone Crypt. I've only run it four times and that was so I could finally get the Trustee to drop and use the spoils for as many rolls of that weapon that I could. Never stepped foot back in there since. DSC ranks right up there with Crota's End to me.

 

I think Vault, Crota, and Leviathan are my top three raids... I haven't done some of the more recent ones though. The last time I popped into Destiny to see what I've missed was about a year ago and, not having a group to play with, I just solo'd a bit of the story and got pooped on solo queued in PvP so that didn't last long. Maybe I'll try again when crossplay finally gets to Destiny..

A VoG re-release is tempting but I already have an Xbox branded paperweight, I don't need a Playstation paperweight too. Sold the PS4 and ditched the Xbone back when D2 came to PC and now the Xbone just sits in my TV stand collecting dust... There aren't really too many console exclusive games anymore making me want to get another Playstation or dust off the Xbox.. Plus, crossplay is becoming more common so I can usually play with any console people I know

 

Yeah, I've got 4 PS4 Pros sitting in my closet right now and I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with them? Cross play is coming later this year. Just don't expect to see me over there. Mostly for the cheating that goes on in PvP on PC. There's no cheating on the console versions and DDoS attacks have been eliminated from the console versions. There are so many fucking hacks you can buy for the PC and although Bungie is trying to control them... People just use burn accounts and keep on using them. Until they make it to where you must purchase a new copy of the game each time an account gets banned in PvP (especially Trials) it will keep happening as long as they stick to the free to play model.

 

Ah I guess I never got sweaty/good enough to run into any hacks on PvP. Also, from what I saw, I thought crossplay is PvE only anyway? (I could also just be making that up though lol)
Sounds like their anti-cheat is either horribly run or they aren't being severe enough with the bans..

 

It's so fucked on PC. Since Destiny went free to play there's really nothing stopping people from creating "burn accounts" since there really is no punishment. They get banned? They just create a new account and run the hacks again. Not only are the hacks so fucking bad but now there is a new thing that has been going on with Trials with "win trading". People pick an overseas server and two members run Hakke emblems and when they run into another group running the same emblems they /roll to see who will win the match without ever playing. A month or so ago more than 70% of the people on PC that went Flawless in Trials never fired a shot. Now they have disabled the rejoin feature so that has pretty much taken care of that issue. But cheating is rampant on PC still. Until Bungie makes it to where you have to pay for each account to play in Crucible or better yet Trials... the cheating will never go away. Once they went free to play, that was the worst thing they could have done for the PvP side of things. As far as cross platform play goes. It's PvP also. I'm just happy they added the opt out feature for console users. It would already be bad enough trying to play against an M&K user with a controller but then you add in all the cheat codes??? Fuck that... That is one reason that the vast majority of streamers and content creators have switched back to the new gen consoles since they now have the same FPS and an FOV slider that was exclusive to PC. I can understand why they switched. Running 30 FPS after running at 120 is brutal. You don't realize it until you play at 120 then try to go back down to 30. It's almost unplayable.
