There’s an amazing amount of maneuvering jet activity during the transposition - visable when the picture is over exposed or when the Dragon is in darkness.

    Awesome if you catch it..

Looks like all seats are filled but they’re still raising money...

I didn’t see the patch listed but when they were still raffling off seats, $50 gave you X amount of chances and a mission patch...they’re supposed to be sent 4-8 weeks after “campaign close”... I’ll post it when I get it unless someone else beats me to it.

Starship, Super Heavy and GSE storage tanks all from the same assembly line (and materials?).

What else can they make from the design?

    Quonset huts by burying half..
    Tunnel sheathing..
    Employee housing..

Kudos to them for maximizing the utility of the design

    No patch yet for me.
Never even got a confirmation email that I won a seat.

Looks like a beautiful day for an F9 launch.

Within 10 minutes if all goes well.

Interesting in that there’s no on board cameras and contracted fairing recovery ship.

7th for this booster and 79th successful recovery overall

Here’s what I got from Alyssa at Prizeo:

“Thank you for contacting Prizeo support and for your generous donation. Rewards typically ship 8-10 weeks after the close of the campaign. The Inspiration4 campaign closed on 2/28/2021, and rewards will begin shipping approximately 8-10 weeks from that date. As soon as your rewards are shipped, you'll receive an email with tracking information.”

Re: Inspiration 4 - too bad they didn’t have a destination to dock with.

A small station with sleeping set ups, bathroom, large kupola, exercise equipment. Kinda like what the Chinese have been doing?

Elon could afford it and have a whole ‘nother, space tourism industry. The station would pay for itself after just a few bookings. (Yes, I am familiar with Axiom and their plans...)

Yes, Crew Dragon is super cool, state of the art but it looks a bit cramped with no privacy whatsoever.

A lot lies upon starship fulfilling it's claims. If they get it down at the price they're thinking, there will be a huge private sector space boom. For now there are too many uncertainties so no one is really looking that far ahead, at least not heavily investing in it yet. It would just cost too much with what the current price to space is.

I get that but with the dependability of F9 and with the start of private launches, I think it’s a missed opportunity considering SpaceX’s capabilities.

Even if they start to successfully fly and land Starship starting with SN15, it’s going to be a few years before they can scale it up to routine human flights. That’s a few years of missed opportunity.

Related, did you see today’s ARS Rocket Report- the Russian company Kosmokurs, founded in 2014, folded after trying to build space tourism through suborbital flights. Inspiration 4 is intended to stay up for three days.

The demand is there, the timing is right and SpaceX has the capability.

There is some demand, but not enough to invest yet. You're still talking an investment in the billions. Falcon 9 can still only put 6-9 tons into GTO. That's 15-20+ launches to match 1 starship launch. So over 1 billion just in launches. That's not counting the cost of the station they have to build, or the cost to build it, operate it, etc. And when built you can only send 4 people. It would be difficult if not impossible to recoup that investment before starship launches and makes all that work obsolete, because then the next construction company will have the ability to dwarf the falcon 9 launched station at a fraction of the cost.

While the left side of my brain understands what you’re saying, the right side holds out hope Elon will impulsively jump on this idea :rocket:
