No, it's completely even with the rest of the body's paint. No stickiness, residue, discoloring, etc. so yeah I'll have to go at it with a few things and see what happens. Whats weird is that its only on the passenger side though.

If your truck is fairly new (mine was at the time), this is what I would did. Parked truck in the hot sun (hot being relative as I am in NY). Used a fingernail to lift up the decal at a corner and slowly peeled it off. Sprayed with bug and tar remover to get rid of the residue. Quick was with warm soapy water (Meguiars general clean) and light wax. You couldn't even tell there were stickers there.

Good luck! Post before and after pictures so we all know it worked out for you!

I pretty much debadge every vehicle I own. The longer a decal or badge is in the paint, the harder it is to make it disappear.

My process, after removal, is to soak the area with GooGone. Clean that up with some rubbing alcohol and then go over the area with some turtle wax polishing compound. Clean that up and then hit the area with some quality wax.

Thanks! I debated for awhile on which color I should get, but let’s be honest, those wheels and tires look sexy af no matter the color. :D

I've never done it before owning the Taco but man is it clean. It was definitely a good decision, especially on the black. Still learning though, and I just cleaned with normal washing soap after the removal. Guess I need to invest in some higher end stuff moving forward lol

Black paint is a pain, but damn it looks good when polished up! It’s most likely just adhesive residue. The googone and polishing compound will clear that up. Just go easy on the polishing compound.

But you knew it wasn’t right- not like it was a little bit off at like 700, 650 or hell even 500. It was at zero and you knew the likelihood of it going through was impossible but your still going to carry this thing out? You do you and go ahead and leave a bad review across all social media when they deny the order (because common sense) that’s what ppl do nowadays, right.

I would throw it up on the B/S/T section. I know I have seen others looking for bed rail caps that are already cut when they pick up an factory tonneau cover. might get lucky and see if someone is looking to trade uncut for yours.

I would use a paint cleaner and then hit it with a fresh coat of wax. Chances are if there was any wax or sealant on the truck that went over the stickers you are just seeing the after effects. I have seen it with badges sometimes. A quick polish and wax should clear it up in my experience.

Maybe try sanding then with 1000 grit to take the flood off.

Wait, would you do the same to a small business? It is the same principle. Not understanding your rationale just because it's a "large corporation". They have employees that need to be paid as well. Remind me never to make a mistake around you.

I just put on new stickers back there and when I went and got all dusty a few days later, you could see the the outline from the decal application layer. It washed off later. Mostly, I think.

My 2 week old 2021 has had a noticeable shake at 40-45 mph and also at 60+ since the day I bought it. Took the wheels and tires to the shop down the road and had them balanced and it's nice and smooth now. I had a pay a few bucks out of pocket, but I'd rather take a beating than mess with the dealership.
