My Dad ended up with Viral Pneumonia but, its "the fog" that he still is dealing with.
Vid went through the house with a vengence. Niece had swelling of the heart, just came home...

Autocad and their lawyers will burn in hell and are just really shitty fucking people. SCUM. They have been harassing us for almost a year, threatened us with jail and 100k in fines. We settled with them, after already buying their product and using it as was allowed...and now they are harassing us again about some other shit, and needlessly getting our pricey lawyers involved.

FOR A FUCKING REMINDER my wife just got an email back. No action needed, nothing is wrong, but sure, lets get you charged hundreds of dollars for no reason.

We will never use them again, and I recommend anyone using them to switch. They should all be ashamed of themselves and we are fowarding the lawyer bills for this to them as well.
edit: our lawyer isn't charging us, so that takes some wind out of my sail.

@Chasespeed glad your dad is home, hopefully full recovery. Those are the important things in life and my little autocad fight is meaningless in the long run!

yeah your body builds antibodies against that protein. When it sees it again it recognizes it as a threat and now will fight it. One of the ways your body fights an infection is to bake it to do death. That’s the fever - your body heating up.

yup don’t want to get political. Staying scientific with it.

the Pfizer and moderna vaccines use the protein attached to the virus itself, which protects the virus. Your body recognizes that protein as a threat and attacks it and without protection the coronavirus dies.

the two dose vaccine - the second dose will be worse because your body is recognizing a threat and fighting it. Or if you’ve had it before and your body recognizes the first dose then it would be similar for both doses.

Did read something that a lot of those who fight it off are more susceptible to mental health issues. Whether it’s correlation or causation I don’t know I’m just some idiot on a truck forum.

I used to work for a company where the owner knew the owner of auto desk so they would use them. I learned on inventor went to solid works and then pro e and then ran away from that and stuck to SW. I’m in QA now though so I don’t ever use cad anymore.

But yeah cad companies can be shenanigans when it comes to licensing and use of their programs. Even if you buy it if you didn’t pay them to use it in a professional setting they’ll jerk your around.

open source FTW. What’s your application of CAD? I know a bunch of open source programs and might be able to help steer you toward one that fits your use case the best.

So my wife went to school for interior design, worked in it for years in Boston, and decided to carry over her skills to use it to set floor plans for weddings. So very simple just spacing of tables and seeing if things will fit and being able to show brides the potential options with their guest counts.

She paid for their program, then they canceled it and made a new one that you constantly pay for and never own. So she sucked it up and tried to get the new one. It wouldn't download, so there was a free version on their site she download, FROM THEM. They wanted 10k for it. We thought it was a scam so ignored, they kept emailing and we kept ignoring. Then all of a sudden we got certified mail with all sorts of official shit and we sent it to the lawyer.

They ended up settling for a couple grand, basically the price of the subscription prorated to us downloading the trial version and gave us a key to use.

She plans on using sketch up going forward, but if you have some good programs to look at, please, let me know. :hattip: We use apple just fyi.

@Bridge4 Nah man, its all relevant. Its all about perspective.
Believe me, arguing with someone over money like that would have my undivided attention.

For clarification. Dad was/is okay... getting better.
My NIECE, is the one that was incredibly sick.
Catch is, she was over the rona, and started to have chest pains I guess, etc.. took her to hospital...
Guess it was pretty touch and go.

Autocorrect was at fault. Missed it earlier...
Bro said they were on the news tonight...

I dunno, I don't have cable... and don't really watch TV

I'm going to ditch the plastic vapor barrier in the doors and replace them with removable ABS plastic panels. I'm doing this as I sound deaden the doors.

Pretty good. She basically gave birth naturally, not that she intended to do it without the epidural. Prior to receipt her screams and cursing could be heard through the halls. Then once they went to check her again hey the water is about to be out, ten minutes later bam
