Well - I finally did it. filled the Tacoma with oil, rushed it over to the mechanic & turned in the keys. Finally getting the oil pan replaced &.....?
How long has it been sitting? Last time I filled the tank was June 4 2020 & it was 1/2 full when I took it over. Guess 2020 didn't break 1,000 miles?

and Taco fired right up on the first try & all the tires were full. Such an awesome truck.

anyone got a spot i can burn a sheet of carboard soaked in engine oil? :anonymous:

Thanks guys I got lucky, seems like the SR5's come color matched! The bigger question is what color wheels to get, I'm leaning heavily towards black or nardo grey, usually i'd go with bronze but dont imagine it'd look right with the orange.

Black rims with the Bronze truck might be a little Halloween ish. just my 2ct.

The Grey might be more appealing.

But go to Home Depot and use the color chips in the paint dept. for a visual. Wont be true colors for truck paint but you can get what works .

I change mine every 5k regardless. I use whatever api rated synthetic is on sale and either a Mobil1 or K&N oil filter.

3rd gens are 10K? Hmm, learn something new everyday. My 4.0 2nd gen is 5K per the manual. I think the 2nd gen 4 banger is 10k too.

My pops had a rx7 when I was real little. Nowadays, he tells me how he got rid of it because it was just stupid fast. Twin turbo rotary. Pretty sure it was a 93.
