Ok, here's the minor flaw I see with that. Retail owns over 100% of the float already. You're talking about hedge funds having to sell back and forth to each other over and over again to cover everything.

No way Blackrock suddenly gets charitable and decides to help out a competitor unless they're forced to by the .gov. Can you imagine the outcry if that was to happen? Total loss of faith in the US markets.

We know with pretty good certainty there's at least another 100% of the float in naked shorts. At least.

 

They don’t need to cover everything all at once. Nothing is forcing their hand.

That's true. If they want to do some shady shit though, I would assume (and you know what they say about assuming) they'd want to get it over with as quick as possible.

If they let it go on too long, retail will just keep buying shares 'cause thats what they do, and the situation might even get worse.

You don't think the SEC's stepped in before on market manipulation cases? They have and nobody lost faith in the markets. It'll be like that except on a much larger scale. People will be pissed but it's not the people that move markets. It's retail. All of retail is maybe 25% of market cap. GME gang is maybe 1% of retail. It won't do shit to the market. lol

People gotta take a stand at some point. If not now, when? (If history has taught us anything, that answer is never).

Ah well, I'm gonna stick to my belief for now until it either buys me a private jet or lowers my already jaded view of the US financial markets below the Mariana trench.

 

Because in the time between when it was "bad" last year and now, nothing happened, and the situation has gotten considerably worse. They made it through 2020 playing the game, and then all of a sudden the retards caught on.

 

Here’s hoping for the jet. It did go from $4 a year ago when they were talking about a squeeze to 500....so something happened.

I tend to look at problem sets in a very Occum way. I've though about all possible outcomes and I think that a halt is the simplest and most likely. I still own shares because why the fuck not. If it goes the way you think I'll make a quick buck. lol

I know you're not trying to change my view. We both know that big money and government always wins. Without exception. Maybe once. Maybe just this once we were in the right place at the right time and we get a different outcome. Which is why, at the end of the day, as much as I believe it's going to happen, I still never put in more than I was willing to risk going to zero.

I got back in on 3/29 when it dipped to $175. 10 shares just to stand with the idiots with a dream. Sell order is set at $150. I like your cause but not enough to loose more the $250 on it. lol
