Do you notice much stability issues having different widths? tracking on certain roads, etc? Any benefit for different sizes or just aesthetics?

What size you going with? 265/70r17 I'm assuming.

If so, they're $136 per tire from Sam's club right now. If you dont have a membership it's basically free right now, you get a gift card that was the cost of the membership.

Amazon used to have them for around $120, sometimes lower, its $150 now though. Maybe there are production issues right now idk. Seems everywhere I check it's around $150.

+1 on this. I've had the Bora 3/4" for several years now, no problems, just re-torque them every once in a while for assurance. Also note that for a 3/4" spacer the stock lugs stick out some, so the wheels you get/have need to have the pockets/bowls between the lugs otherwise the wheels hit the stock lugs. Most stock wheels I've seen have these on the wheels so no issue.

    This.
Its an overlooked aspect of spacers. If your wheel bottoms out on the studs instead of the spacer, you will have a wheel off

Put a set of spider trax and drove 13 hours to moab. Went through hells revenge and drove back home. Nothing wrong with them.

As per the owner of Bora - 70 ft*lb's for 12mm studs, no loctite needed. He also recommended driving 5 miles and checking torque the first time they're installed to make sure everything was installed correctly.

Here's a link to the spec sheet:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bora-spacers-review-install.216233/#post-4963508

I had emailed him personally when he told me the same information (no loctite, etc.):

From a conversation with the owner of BORA

    Me:

    "Hello,

I purchased some BORA spacers for my 2008 6 lug Tacoma from someone on Tacomaworld.com. I bought some red loctite and I was wondering what some installation tips might be."

    Lenny:

    "Tony

We really don't recommend using loctite, no need

I know that a lot of guys do use it, but as long as you torque the open end lug nuts to the proper foot lbs, they won't back off or come loose."

    Me:

    "Lenny,

Thank you. I have a torque wrench ready to go. Does this mean that I don't have to check the torque on the open ended lug nuts after 5 miles, 50, or 100 miles? Thank you for the info. I'll be putting them on this week. Take care."

    Lenny:

"You should recheck the torque after the first 5 miles to make sure everything was mounted correctly."

Also if your front lugs are still shorter than the rear like previous gens:

Use these for the spacers, at least up front:

Wow we're on page 3 and no one's posted picture of the wheel that fell off with the spacer still attached? The anti-spacer crew is slacking.

I got one better. Wheels came off without spacers... How can that be?

ive got 26k on my 2020 off road all with 1.25inch Spidertrax spacers. i used the red loctite that was included from Spidertrax and torqued them to spec. I believe that as long as you go with a quality spacer like Spidertrax or BORA, you should be fine.

I ran spidertrax 1" on just my front wheels for 2 years so that chains would clear my front uca. Never had tracking or handling problems, and I did quite a lot of offroading and bumpy forest roads. Every tire rotation I ever did nuts were still tight. Also did a road trip from Portland to moab and all around Utah/colorado with those spacers, no issues.

I ran spidertrax on my '15 4 runner for close to 60k miles with no issues. 3" lift and 285/70/17's since about 2k miles. Have run other spacers on various cars over the years and as long as they were high quality and a reputable brand I had no issues. Tried of the cheap ones one time and had vibration issues but they weren't hub-centric.

    Check My Sig.
Lots of people are running wheel spacers in the rear after doing a relocation because of clearance. I've ran my rear 1.25" wheel spacers for years without issue. I did use red loctite for reassurance but that was just for ease of mind.

I've been running 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers for roughly a year up front without issues as well. I'm going away from them now due to LT but they've been fine. They are now for sale if anyone is looking.

What you don’t see in the pic is the spacer broke so violently it flew out of frame, landed on a school, and took out all of the children.
