That means a lot, because usually I’m the impatient one!

I can understand why school buses don’t turn on red, but this is a pickup truck; Only succeeds in needlessly holding up traffic!

Not a tank truck, but just a truck that carries gasoline for power equipment?

I understand that; Doesn’t make it any less aggravating getting stuck behind it when you’re on a DoorDash run...

Perhaps if you’re aggravated by such minor obstacles, a delivery job isn’t for you.

Maybe I'm an idiot or just misunderstanding this post, but why would you expect people to turn right on a red light when there is a sign saying it's not allowed?

I'm hoping he just didn't word that correctly. I've actually gotten a ticket for doing that (didn't see the sign) and it's a red violation ticket - $$$$$

If people honk and get pissed because I won't turn right on red when the sign says not to, fuck 'em. I don't want another one of those tickets.

I think the post could have a bit clearer if it were grammatically correct. While using two “no’s” with second inside the quotes isn’t technically incorrect it relies on the comprehension skill of the reader.

Had it been written, isn’t a “No Right Turn On Red” sign it would have been easier to understand.

Written English is a mess. Spoken is not much better.

not turning right on red when there is no "no turn on red" sign

There is no sign saying that at that intersection

On the other hand I doubt the vehicle code requires turning right on red. Driver’s choice. So the problem isn’t the driver of the vehicle not turning.

My brain skimmed right over those two 'no's one after the other lol, I see what he meant now.

The truck isn’t allowed to turn on ANY red light.

One time when I was a kid I was the only kid on the school bus and someone beeped at the driver (a woman in her fifties) for staying put at a red light when she had her signal on.

Bus driver tells me that people beep at her all the time even though there’s a sign on the back saying “THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT TURN ON RED” and it really pisses her off. School buses I can understand since (A) they carry children, and (B) are big and slow.

The truck I took a picture of was a gas-powered Chevy Silverado 2500, a vehicle which I feel has enough “oomph” to make a right on red quickly and doesn’t have half a dozen or more children on board; Another member explained to that the Silverado I photographed was likely carrying fuel for power equipment, and that to me also makes sense.

All school buses in my area, from the van-based short buses with dual rear wheels all the way up to the full-size International buses that are more like semi trucks, have the same sign on the back.

I hate getting stuck behind school buses, but it’s just a fact of life; If it keeps kids safe then it’s worth it.

I’m pretty sure the Chevy Express and Ford E-series passenger vans and minivans used by the school districts on my areas must adhere to the same “no turn on red under any circumstances” rule, but unlike the actual buses they don’t require a CDL to drive and don’t have to stop at all railroad crossings.

what gets me is seeing people driving wearing a mask...with their windows down

or people who wear gloves shopping but also wear them driving their car and doing everything else with the same pair

people who are incapable of reading road signs on streets they drive every day
    - example: there is a 3 way intersection on my way home that i drive every day, and tons of other people pass through to avoid freeway traffic. Gets pretty backed up around 5PM. it's weird one, T intersection.imagine the top right leg of the T turning onto the long leg, is always open, as is the long leg turning towards the right. the long leg turning to the left, or left leg going either direction, is always a stop. I can't tell you how many times there are people turning right from the long leg who come to a stop, despite there being a multitude of cars in front of them who don't stop, a dedicated lane, and a sign right next to the intersection that states "traffic turning right does not stop". Then they get mad at me when I give them a beep so that the flow of traffic isn't hindered needlessly, and drive extra slow on a one lane road, holding up the multitude of cars behind us.

people who can't plan their path on the roadway. when I drive, I always try to get in the lane I'll need as early as possible so I don't have to stress about last minute lane changes or missing a turn. For some reason, no one else in my area does this. It's so annoying to be cruising along with a healthy amount of following distance, only to have to slam on my brakes because someone wasn't paying attention/didn't care to be considerate, and cut over at the last minute

extrapolating off that last one...people who tailgate too close or cut me off with next to no room. I don't mind if you tailgate me reasonably, chances are any collision will severely damage your car compared to mine. but there's virtually no reason I should be unable to see your car's emblem, license plate, or front bumper in my rearview when i'm driving at any speed on road. Similarly for being cut off...I don't really care about the damage, but i'd really rather not go back to work/home facing a potential manslaughter/vehicular assault charge. It's even more confusing when I see people accelerate past me to cut me off, when there's plenty of space behind me, and i'm not even driving particularly slow
