after talkin to couple of dealers and getting the run around...

still no truck!! I'm ok without it, I am not in a dire need of a new vehicle.

but there aren't much of 07 off-rd left.
I found askin for $26436. Alon 200 miles it. It was trade from another dealer.

I guess I'm being cheap. I saved so much of money and wasting it on my down payment kind of upsets me a little...

I guess maybe wait until November to see what comes up...

maybe i would get a better APR then 6.75 from toyota

but it is a pain to finance through a bank cause it takes a while to get it.

    whatever.... more waitin time!

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
when i bought my yota last november, i got 6.55 and they financed that through bank of america. i called today to see what my payments would be on 5.95 from another place and it would only lower my payment $2 a month

    whoa...
you can finance the car through bank of america???
I talked to toyota dealerand said i have to do it throught ONLY toyota financial!!!
and they can't find another bank for me!!

I mean i can go and finance it myself... it is a pain in the a$$.

my friend went to infiniti to get a car and he can choose from chase or bank of america!!

I asked about bank of america in a branch and they told me i have to do it online myself and i told them about my credit score, they told me it should be 5.84%

that was straight from the dealer...there was no real question or answer about who/where to finance

You can finance through any bank you want guys... SOmetimes Toyota will tie incentives (low interst, recent graduate, etc) to financing with Toyota Financial Services, but I like always to have a pre-wired draft ready to go. It aids in negotiation!!

If you can get access to a credit union (like Navy Federal) you can get some pretty decent rates (currently 5%)...

Try search carmax inventories - Last week they had a bunch of 07';s new...

Because Tacoma's are basically the best selling trucks in the USA, there are rarley any factory incentives.

I bought an 08 Tacoma crew, 4X4, TRD last month. Paid $500 over invoice. I could have (I actually did... but that's another story) got an 07 Tundra 4X4 DBL cab, TRD for $800 more than the Tacoma because of all the Tundra incentives.

They sure dont give toyotas away..As a former GM truck customer I was use to all the finance incentives and what not...Dealers will Usualy bump you a point so 6.5% is realy costing them like 5.5% ask emif they will finance you for a flat comp next time or check your local credit union.....

I think they can leagaly bump up to 4 points in finance. I always do my outside financing- home equity line or cash. The Tundra deal I had was $37400 sticker, I added $900 in options. I negotiated down to $32500 then took off $2500 rebate. $30K plus TT&L.

I think I paid $28500 (+TT&L) for my 08 Tacoma, they just came out, plus I returned the Tundra two days later. They did me a favor so I did not press too hard on the Taco.

Sticker on the Tacoma was $32K. I paid $28500 plus TTL. I could have probably done better but like I said, I was returning a new Tundra I purchased two days prior so they were being pretty cool.

Not sure what the Toyota financing is these days. I have a home equity line of credit I used @ 6.49%... tax ded too.

    Hi,

I just got my 08 taco 4x4 dc or pkg last Thursday, so I went thru the same thing that your talking about. I was looking at the 07's and one dlr north of me actually has 3 left over. I got my 08 for $28,2 OTD with a pass thru/trade with my old car. I had a pre approved loan from Captial One for 6.25%, but it actually turned out better to fianance thru Toyota Motor Credit for 6.35% for 60 months with a no early payoff penalty. My payment are 2 dollars more a month and a lot less hassles. I would say go for the 08 for all the same reasons as stated before.

    Take care,

    Matt

I also looked thru bank of amerca finance in NJ
they are 5.64%... now I dont know if they are allow to pay off early or not.
    but I'm going to ask.

the 07 i saw was total of $26,436 plus whatever crap then Minus the rebate.

the truck had 200 mile which i did not like at all!

if I'm going to get a new one... I was 10 miles or less!!

Another thing, watch all the hidden fees that some of those banks throw in the loan. They give you a good % rate, but rape you in other ways.
That price sounds pretty good for a 07, and I wouldn't sweat the 200 mileage thing. Heck, it was just a dlr trade and some old fart drove it to were it sits now.:D

    Good luck,

    Matt
