I’ve switched between all of them, same results. Soon as the compressor kicks on, it errors out.

The battery is barely 1 1/2 year old X2 AGM.

Works great. It's been on shore power since Wednesday night and no hiccups.

Well it fits on the slide, but will require removal of the rear wheels to really be mounted.

When installing the battery, remove cover and inside there is a protective cover for the battery pins that require removal then simply insert battery, push the on button and away you go.

Did some testing on the run time of the internal battery and here is the result after 9 hrs running by itself. Still had some life left. Screenshot_20210317-182231_CSI Black Ice Fridge Freezer.jpg

    About halfway done...
Hey Mike I have the original W52 with slide and it's been working great. But I'm thinking of upgrading to the new Dual Zone Fridge W53 manly because of how the lid opens.
Can you get me perimeter dimensions at the bottom of the fridge so I can understand how the W53 will fit into the slide I have?

I am interested in the 53 Mike. I am wondering about the slide however, how is it usually mounted in the bed? Is it stable enough to strap down the fridge tight to the bed and use the slide unmounted or is it required to be mounted? I don't have a drawer system or anything I could easily mount it too right now. Thank you for any information!

Most of us mount it to a 1/2" sheet of plywood.

Gotcha, that's doable. Thank you! I'd like to purchase the 53+cover+slide.

I have a different fridge and slide mounted in the bed of my truck. I just drilled 3-4 small holes on each side of the slide through the bedmat and thru the bed. I then slid a bolt thru with some big fender washers between the bedmat and the bed and one under the bed so the bed is sandwiched between the two fender washers. I was going to use some bigger flat bar aluminum as a big washer along the length of the slide but so far the fender washers have been holding it well without issues.

That's not a bad idea. Looking at your profile picture I can assume it withstands a good beating. Thanks for the info!

I bought the original W52 I believe(it's still going strong 2-3yrs later). I have since taken my camper shell off and would like to move the fridge to the truck bed on top of my decked system(my W52 sits in the driver side back passenger seat). Would the W53 or W55 do well in the open, or is the ARB Element the only rated for "outside" use?

Both would work great in the bed. I leave my 55 on a slide in my bed.
