No pics yet but I am loving my HMG Dirigo 2 tent. Decided to invest in a lightweight tent and this thing is amazing. No pole arrangement to carry and you use your trekking poles. Large vestibules and entrances on each side make for heaps of storage for two to keep rucks out of the way when stretching out.

It’s high speed stuff to be sure. We were going to camp this weekend but the weather changes that.

Heads up: Good-to-Go foods is doing 25% off all of their meals at their website, ends tonight at midnight.

Last weeks trip taught me that the winds are too variable and strong in the Shell Creek Canyon for effective use of a tarp/leanto system.
So I exchanged my 6 oz tarp for my 3.5 lb tent on this trip:

(mule?) deer grazing on the ridge above me about 200 yds away; also heard coyote pack howling the following morning:

next morning; geologists say the Big Horn Mt.s are eroding ancient seabeds laid down hundreds of millions of years ago and subsequently uplifted a "mere" 70 million years ago, really puts a perspective on a human lifespan:

must be careful where you place your pack or hand around here; here's what lurks just beneath the snow surface in some spots:
