Hey guys, so I've been looking into a Spindle lift for my 2017 tacoma and just had some questions and needed advice.

    Currently running https://www.morris4x4center.com/rou...0orPeuXOhx11MTmcVD9tJM305IK9JAh0aAngBEALw_wcB

and have 33/12.5/17 tires with the lift. I want to switch over to a Spindle lift and level out in the back with a new leaf pack or AAL and maybe get rid of the blocks if I can. My questions are, what all will I need to purchase? Can I continue to use my current shocks and struts and change the lift in the front to 0" so that it's only a 4" lift in the front, or do I have to buy 5100's or switch back to stock? Also what can I purchase to level out the back with the front without blocks if possible? Thank you in advance for any help at all

My one question would be why do the spindle lift? You'd essentially be spending $500 for an additional inch of lift.
But yes you can keep the front shocks but will need to 0 them. As for the rear the 2 inch block you have now may be enough to keep it level. I have the spindles and a 2 inch block and I am level.

I really just want an additional inch of clearance, and like the look of a 4" lift vs 3" or 6" and thought this would be the best route to get 4" and still ride comfortably

Did you need to trim your stock studs in order to fit the .75 wheel spacer?

I’m on 305/55/20 wheels and they were pretty close to the spindles. So I put on some 1.25 wheel spacers and now they rub on the cab mount. If I get the .75 wheel spacer will the rub go away? I did not have any rubbing before the wheel spacer but now I do.

Im currently running maxtrac 6.5” lift. I see people are running the factory 17” wheels with very little clearance. Would the sr5 16” wheels clear the same? Anyone have any experience? I have a 22x12 setup. After 6 months I can’t do it anymore.

I ended up trying it. They fit but clearance is tight!!! I installed the maxtrac 6.5 and 22x12 wheels with Atturo 33” mts. Ride is horrible. I wasn’t sure if it was the lift or tires. Not the lift at all. With my factory tires it rides perfect.

That's probably why you're experiencing issues. Your wheels have a 12" width and Maxtrac only accommodates a 8-9" width wheel. Your back-spacing may be another issue, depending on what that is.

“MAXTRAC SUSPENSION DOES NOT ADVISE USING WHEELS WIDER THAN 9" OR WHEELS WITH LESS THAN 4.5" BACKSPACING. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN VOIDING ANY AND ALL MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES”

I was assuming they only put that for warranty purposes. They clear just fine.

Ok i know the post just above me states 4.75" bs is ok, but just want some confirmation.

My current setup 6112/5160 6/5 1/4 top plates on both sides. 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75" bs, JBA uca. 285/75/17 , .75" Bora wheel spacers on all wheels, CMC done

1)Can I run the spindles without the .75" spacers?
2)I needed the .75" spacers to clear the JBA UCA, will the tires clear the UCA now without the spacers?
3)approx install time for the spindles (fronts only) by a mechanic.

I'll likely remove the 1/4 top plates from both sides. Will also remove the .75 front wheel spacers if my wheels clear the spindle. If the spindles poke out .75", that will clear my UCA? My UCA requires @4.50 bs.

My lift is roughly 3" currently, 2.5" if i remove the top plates. I'd like to go for a 6.5" lift.

    TIA

    I did a thing

    Maxtrac Spindles
    285/70/17 Falken AT3K With KMCKM541 wheels
JBA UCA's and 5100's set for 0" lift

Now I just gotta order a new AAL to even out the back!

Is there a rear suspension set up to go with these spindles that plays well with TSS? I'd prefer some kind of add a leaf/shackle combo over a lift block but I am curious what is out there. This is my first vehicle with this kind of technology and I would rather not cause issues with it if at all possible.

    @HashTaco

    What wheel size and offset?

    Easily clear the jba uca?

Any center hub to fender measurements? Ground to fender?

What are you currently using for rear lift and shock?

    Thanks

Ha I wasn't in my truck at the time and it was killing me that I wasn't. That's the first time I've seen another tacomaworld member out in the wild.
