Anyone running a CVT Mt. Bachelor that swapped out the mattress? Im looking at the expeds, but this 46"x94" sleeping footprint is tough to even get close.

    Yeah.
Closest one is the MegaMat Duo 10 Medium at 41" wide -- but it is 72" long, a bit shorter than the Wide/Long size. Depending on how tall you are and how you sleep, that may feel a bit short. I'm 6' tall, but I'm a side sleeper, so I would likely be fine on that size.

This makes me feel better about dropping a bunch of coin to get one, now we just need to get the ship and port to get their shit together so it can get here.

The 46” width is perfect for the old lady and I. Any smaller and we’d have issues. I might throw a cheap air mattress up there and call it good

Just picked it up from REI. Had to go straight to work so I set it up on my lunch break to check it out.IMG_20210406_174644_553.jpg 20210406_215642.jpg 20210406_215706.jpg

I take mine off in the winter, but otherwise it’s on all the time. I’ve never gotten that. Usually it’s people at stoplights asking me what it is

I get the “what’s that thing??” From strangers here and there, but it’s acquaintances that always ask if I went camping over the weekend :notsure:

    Yeah.
I get the, "You got dead bodies up there?"

Yeah, always room for one more . . . KIDDING.

I like watching people behind me sitting at a light. Some people snap a photo or look it up on their phone. I've seen guys that know what it is explaining to their wife with their hands how it pops open.

Random stuff all the time. Below are some of my favorites.

Sitting in line at drive thru. Guy behind me gets out and comes up. Says is that to store coyotes (I have 23Zero)? Me, no it’s a tent. Oh, I hunt coyotes and that that’s something to store them in.

At drive thru and all workers at window. That think on side of your truck (snorkel) that’s for call the animals when you drive into the woods ain’t it? Me no.

Might be a theme with the drive through.

Picking up daughter at school in drive through line. Teacher helping my daughter in says we sure do love this truck. My husband drools every time we see it and we talk about it all the way home.

I’ve definitely seen dudes trying to explain to their wives how they need one. I wonder if my setup has helped convince a wife needing convincing? Probably not.

    Yeah.
When the wife sees the price and knows you can get a tent at Walmart for $50, it can make it a pretty hard sell. Where's that enterprising guy that sewed his own RTT?
