Hey Randy and Co.., You boys have a recommendations on dispersed camping/trails anywhere in S Virginia, between Appomattox and Bristol? Making a run from Knoxville to Appomattox to get some springs, like to take the GF camping. seems like there should be something north of I81, but idk. I saw Smith Mountain Lake State Park but prefer NF/boonies if there is something.. Thx

Thanks! Potts Mountain looks like the best bet as far as the direction I will be going.. Are there spots along there or in that area where I could pull off for a bit of privacy and pop my RTT?

 

I think there's at least a midway point Randy has camped at...haven't been so can't speak to Potts

 

How built are you? Potts is a pretty intense trail and I only recommend it if someone is fully armored, 33s and a winch.

 

Fully Armored, 34.5s and a 12k Warn Zeon and other misc recovery goodies. Not scared though, since Greg told me about it TW rules says he has to come bail me out if I stuckie..
