Got my soft topper used from a TW member on Monday. So far love it. Kids love the safari mode the best.

How many people drive in Safari mode on the regular? How secure is it on the highway in Safari?

Good luck! I always thought this was the coolest color option they had for the soft topper..

Thanks! And I actually went with this color since I plan on sleeping in the bed on some trips, and it would be a bit cooler than the black topper. Initially I wasn't sold on the tan/grey combo, but now I kinda like it. Easy to find my truck, anyway.

Anyone have a photo of a gray topper on a silver truck?

I am thinking of getting a Soft Topper for my '19 DCLB with the intent of using it for 2-3 camping trips per summer/fall and possibly during ice fishing season. Outside of those times when you have it deployed, do most of you just fold it down in the bed or remove it completely, bed rail attachments included? Just wondering how much of a PITY is to completely assemble/disassemble a few times a year or if doing so would somehow compromise the unit. Also curious about the best solution to securing front and rear window flaps.

Chose grey over black so it would stay cooler but I also really like the more subtle look.

I typically only get mine out for trips. After the trip, I wash it with 303 vinyl cleaner, fold it up, and put it back in it's case. Folding it and putting it away takes about 5 minutes to do by myself. I have been leaving the rails on because I'm lazy and they blend in with my silver truck but taking them off would only take a few minutes.

    Just some stuff...
I keep hearing about this 303 vinyl cleaner. Are you guys using this on the entire topper, windows included? Other than this thread I had never heard of it. I haven't used anything on it yet. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and to be honest I had only planned on turning the hose on it now and then.

It's not a pain in the ass. I would just leave the side rails on. It take less than five minutes to remove the softopper and store it. Make sure to get the bag for it. Or be cool like us and leave it on all the time

This is absolutely who I want to go with. Do you or anyone have experience with them? Product looks well designed, really high quality and they are far cheaper than others such as mobtown or voodoo with 1/3 the wait time.

I run Safari off and on during the summer to keep things cool back there. With the sun hitting the black canvas, it gets scorch'n back there.

On highway it's perfectly fine. I either roll up the back window and remove the bar, or just remove the window panel all together. Mood dictates.
