Have you given thought to 'luxurifying' your Tacoma? Seriously... a budget of 10-15K and you could put a custom stereo/navi, dynamat and leather upholstery... supercharger, suspension mods (exactly what kind depends on your desired end use), wheels/tires for performance to match use and a satoshi in front and color keyed hard tonneau or bed cap in back to make it unique and you've got 90% of what Toyota would charge a lot more for under a Lexus nameplate.

To me one of, if not THE, main pluses of the Tacoma name is that the aftermarket is just so huge, you can do almost anything to it and with quality stuff to boot.

It's a great truck but dude, out of the 9 damn cup holders in my access cab...they really couldn't make the one in the middle next to the shifter big enough to hold a water bottle?! Wtf is that?

    EDIT:

Btw, I live in alaska and use 4wd all the time. I have NO issues trying to find the switch bahahaha, that is just ridiculous. It's always in the same spot ;). I actually can't even directly see it because of the steering wheel...

Still my biggest gripe is the crappy stock radio and speakers. That bed is pretty slippery too how much does a nice thick rubber bed mat cost?

It's a change holder...for all the toll roads/bridges/tunnels/parking and whatever else you need a few coin for. If you were in the mid-atlantic US you'd know exactly what I'm talking 'bout. Freakin' government has it's hands out where ever you go around here.

It's also a perfect slip fit for aluminum can foam sleeve (keeps the coin from rattling on the bumpies) so it's a good fit for aluminum cans too. For the Texas crowd, I guess, to keep their Coors handy out riding the fence line.

Got one from Tractor Supply for $25. It's stock pen mat, actually. Comes in rolls and buy it by the foot...I cut it to shape to fit.

Hmmm that makes much more sense now hahaha. I always thought the designated change holder was that little cubby to the right of the steering wheel directly below the 4wd switch. I'm glad I don't have to deal with toll booths but then again...I also hate how nasty the roads can get up here.

Why? it's harmless and more an indicator that you need to either drive it more (to burn off the build up of condensates) or change oil more often.

they may have changed that because in my 2011 sr5 access cab there are two big cup holders and one small cup holder all next to the shifter and the two big ones can hold a water bottle.

No mount for a m60, no bullet proof glass, I don't get 1000 mpg as stated, it doesn't make me a sammach, etc etc and lots of more obvious sarcasm.

But back to your question OP, the lack of a bed light would be my complaint until I installed them myself of course.

I am not trying to be a smart ass but I am sure that you (as well as all of us) knew all this before you (we) bought ...... if you (we) knew that there would be issues I am guessing that you (we) would not have bought the Tacoma.

Old age .... experience .... whatever you may want to call it .... I am not bashing, just passing aloing my 2 cents.

    too damn many
I loved my old Tacoma and really enjoy my dads 07 sport I only have 2 problems with it. 1: no aux cable, but considering it was 06 and that was still a new idea it's ok. 2: the posistion I have to sit in to drove it, it's simply too close to the bottom of the can I have raised the seat up as high as it goes and still have to sit in it like I would in a car I'm 6'1" and have a 34 inch inseam my legs just have a hard time fitting down there other than that I love Tacomas they are easily the best multipurpose truck on the road. I do dislike the 2009 up tail lights though the red LEDs come off a little pink to me

There are a lot of really nice trucks out there with options that you just can't get on a tacoma, fortunately tacoma offers a couple that the others don't. Resale value and longevity.:D
