Any suggestions on a slim aluminum front bumper that can hold a winch. Many places discontinued their aluminum versions and just do steels now. What winch do you combo it with? Pics would be great as well! Thanks tw!

Yeah looked at that one but the steel and aluminum weigh the same. Could be a typo?

Aluminum weighs 28lbs versus steel at 65lbs per the video at the bottom of the page.

I may pull the trigger on that one when their Black Friday sale comes around this year. I’m not too worried about the weight. I think aluminum will hold up better in the winter road salt. My aluminum step tubes have held up better than steel.

That looks terrible. Looks like it just slides over the plastic bumper and makes the overbite front end even worse.

I agree it looks awkward from the side. Unfortunately, I think it’s the trade off for not having to hack away at the front of the truck and to also have aluminum. I know a steel one would look terrible after about two winters. Right now I don’t see a lot of other options. :notsure:

What did you end up going with? I haven't found one that I like in aluminum for a full bumper. SSO makes an almost perfect (to me) slim line tube bumper but it's only offered in steel so it's off the table.

That Victory bumper sure looks slick but that logo right in the middle of the light bar just bothers me. If only they could put it anywhere else!

Ive looked. I want light weight but full coverage and a bar to protect the radiator.

    Seems to be mutually exclusive

I found one, I was kinda on the fence about it. Someone on TW had a whole post on it and some other people were having issues with getting the product after COVID hit and I think the company might have went under which is why I stopped looking at it. It was the only full aluminum bumper I found that was more slim-line. I'll see if I can't dig it up, it was one of those on the phone at 1am in bed looking at truck stuff type of finds.

Yeah I didn't like theirs. For me, I like the ones that retain the factory fog location/area.

Yeah it is. I really like how SSO makes a bumper. If only they did aluminum in addition to steel.
