    I am hoping there is enough gap for when the engine torques, and when it jumps. To clear that primary.

    Hate to see it getting smashed.

    I had to do custom motor mounts. I have 1/2" at both ends of the engine cage.

Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
    Just go ahead and ding it real good with a hammer and it ahouldnhave plenty of clearance...


    For real though we had to squeeze my down pipe in a vice to clear... A little reshape never hurt nobody

    You have to pull the studs to get the header on?

    My map gas torch doesn't have the oomf to heat up that 321 to bend. Lol

    The manifold is fine, but the turbo is the tight fit.

    I am about to chase these stud threads on this block. Too time consuming with out doing so.

    I had a couple on my VW 1.8t strip out. Torque sequence, heat cycles, who knows. So I checked and they were threaded a lot deeper than stock bolts would go. I ordered some newer studs with an insert allen and now have another 10mm of thread engagement. Even the stripped holes have about 9-10mm more threaded in just to put into perspective the stock studs had 8mm.

    Those are early day JBA headers, most likely.

    Moving the bung to the merge required harness extentions. Pure bolt-on and go, that was the only way.

    Good observation. Saved you some serious headaches.

    I have the #1 cylinder, front most stud, that I cannot fit the chaser with handle into. I may have an external torx socket that will work. Eesh.

    I forgot about a support tube, since I hadn't been under the hood until today, with the turbo attached. Had to do a cut/clock 35°/reweld. Grrr.

    The exhaust out of the turbo would had been centered on that tube, with no room to route around it. All good now though.

    Unfortunately not, my build has come to a screeching halt since at least a year now. I'm almost to a point with my house reno that I can relax a little, I can't even find time to drop my truck off for a couple days with a tuner. I think my wife is going to leave me for a bum, says I work too much. I did order the oil pressure regulator and gauge, but haven't installed them; as soon as I pop the hood and figure out where I'm going to place it, I'll measure for hoses. I was last thinking to Y into the catch can drain. The gauge is larger than the regulator haha. BTW, that gauge will show pressure coming into the regulator or pressure out? I know the pressure is regulated at 40.

    It’ll show pressure out. I stuck mine on the firewall in a central location to the hose lengths I found on fleaBay. I ended up with three hoses of varying lengths and tested them in several configurations until I found a suitable combination and location.


    I’m back on the fence for boosting my 3rz. If I can’t find a commuter vehicle soon I’ll be low boosting it to get a little more oomph. Nothing worse than a stiff headwind and having to be floored in 4th to keep it at 75mph. Can’t pull out, pass, or merge aggressively either.

    Ha I still remember those 4th gear 75mph days. Now I go slower because I can lug 5 th now at 2500 rpm
