Use 50/50 ATF and acetone. Lots of studies prove this to be superior than any name brand product. Let it soak overnight. When it begins to move, jockey back and forth rather than a continuous turning. New plugs with antiseize, torque only to 2/3 the value.

    Evening all:
Hope all goes well concerning the irregular heart beat Tom.

Saw the 50/50 ATF and acetone talked about multiple times, like Alan said, studies showed it to be better than any of the name brand products available.
In the one study there was one available brand that performed better than PB Blaster, which a lot of people swear by, but I don't remember that particular brand, but it still came up short of the 50/50 homebrew.

    Evening Sue!!

A little something every chance we get.
Glad to hear that update Tom!! That's a much better (and reasonable) explanation than the jump to a pacemaker.

    Evening Porch & SUE!

Well, the shades were a bust, going to have to keep looking. But, I did get all my doo-dads for the greenhouse plumbing. Got home and got all the tomatoes potted and inside, then cleaned out the potting corner, which had collected a lot of leaves from the freeze - much more than that shady corner. Got after the plumbing inside, and am quite happy with that clean up. Also added some "stained glass" bubble wrap for still more shade inside. The West gets brutal before sunset - seems counter productive to put all this shade on a greenhouse! But it's my second season, and I am learning that these Palrams can multiply heat easily!

Tomorrow, I get after all those left over drip hoses! And a couple Taco projects. Have a great Saturday night, and don't stay out too late!

Welcome to the crowd. Many of us started a few months...or years early here. Grab a spot on the porch and a cold one from the cooler. Oh, and new folks have to fill the cooler. :D

Sorry to hear about the heart issue, Tom! Sending good thoughts your way for a good and fast resolution!

Great pics @MQQSE Rob! Looks like it was a sunny day and there is no denying the beauty of that part of the country.

I pretty much finished up prepping the Z3 yesterday. I still have to hit the top seals again with conditioner and will spray the top with a protectant - need a new can and that arrives tomorrow. Came out pretty good for 25 years old.

    Morning.
Busy day yesterday and again today.
My Saturday to work so had to contend with that.
Had issues with the bike so had to perform surgery on it.
After a week of cleaning carb and locating a new coil and calling my racing buddies
I found 2 new plug wires that I could cut and redo. Wasn’t about to pay 50 bucks
for them online because it’s a Harley.

    00F11A9B-DACD-47D2-B353-711242D78C1F.jpg

So it’s alive and running good.
Now to replace the plugs and a oil change.

Getting the Corolla out of storage.
Blowing out the garage of winter dirt, dust and leaves
    Busy day.

TY for the ATF+Acetone tip. I knew what the problem really was, wrong tool for the job. My sister brought the mower with her when she came to dinner and removing the spark plug was simple when you use a 1/2 in drive wrench. ;)

Welcome to the por4ch. I have a 2009 ex cab 2wd with a long bed. Post up a few pics when you get a chance.

Beautiful car and finish Mark? What finishing wax did you use? For a summer finish I like Pinnacle Souveran wax on dark colors.

    Nice bike Mike.

I think we are going to start to build the replacement shed ramp today. Build the frame in the garage then add the decking to frame after the ramp is installed on the shed. My son will do the work I will mearly assist in a supervisory role although he really doe not need much supervision. LOL

    Morning all:
Welcome to the porch texvet61, you can pull up a chair on the porch right after you fill the cooler!

Neat pics. Rob, my neighbor has a mini excavator with a thumb, amazing what those miniaturized machines can do.

Looks like everyone is busy with spring projects, I'm getting things done that aren't even on my to do list!!!

Tom, Hope all is well. I managed to freak out the ER docs. They couldn't get a heart signal, but I had a strong pulse. No potassium in my system, got to drink a cup of nasty stuff ever with a Gatorade chaser and sent me on my way. Told to eat more potato chips.

On the bright side a heart pacemaker iw easier to install. I was wide awake for six hours for my crazy wiring job.

TexVet - Welcome. Yesterday was perfect weather. Got my driver's side rock slider installed, machined up a simple spacer. I'm way too anal when working on vehicles.

Tacoma Mike - Dielectric Grease is your friend. I finally used up a large can I had of the stuff, now I can not remember where I found it. I do miss motorcycle days, but best not to get on a motorcycle anymore. Still lusting after a Norton Commando.

@roundrocktom , definitely showing your age with the mention of the Norton . I had a 1972 Norton Commando back in college some 48 years past .
