Never really liked any Woodford Reserve that I have tried. Untill I had the Double Oak. Really enjoy this stuff

A while back I realized that *for me* life is too short to drink super cheap/low proof/young/flavored whiskey... unless the goal is to get drunk. Idk about y'all, but I don't like getting drunk, and I especially don't like how I feel the morning after getting drunk

Drink what you want and drink it how you want it. Tonight I'm drinking some Texas Heaven Hill. Cheers TW!

Not a traditional whiskey, but my wife liked it. And that comes with it's own set of benefits. 20210410_181433.jpg

Much to the wife's dismay, Makers is on the weekly grocery list. The special occasion/its the weekend so...bottles include 4 Roses Single Barrel, Michters, 1792, and Wild Turkey Longbranch to name a few. Rough Rider is one of my absolute favorites but its a tough find around here.

Just had a bourbon tasting and tomahawk steak night at my buddies place. I supplied the bourbon...32E063F2-78E2-4B7D-9C0B-246B9873B699.jpg

And I just picked up this EH Taylor yesterday:

“Appetizer”? The bourbon or the steak?!

Between 3 guys, we finished close to 13lb of meat (3 tomahawks)!

I think I got an Elijah Craig bottle with a misprint on it today. It was in the grocery store and they always have small batch. Well the bottle in the front said Barrel Proof. But it didn't have the BP sticker on it. It had the normal 94 proof sticker. I thought that was interesting.

You’ll be able to tell really fast once you open it. Share a picture of the bottle!

I would almost call the customer service line of Heaven Hill up and see if you can't score a free bottle of BP because of the bottle :D
