The Hurst Nova is Nice. Reminds me I have a Hurst bug somewhere I have to find. Not carded, it was a custom I bought on eBay awhile back.

I’m sure it’s just an April fool’s joke but can any of you see my post normal or do you see them backwards like me?

This one is supposed to change color in warm water. Also has a big motor that pops out of the roof. It does change color just a bit with room temperature but not like it shows on the back of the card. Carded one was in room temp opened one was in the garage, little colder.

I’m sure I have a set of those wheels if you want to try to cut that car yourself.

These are the latest editions. The 93 Bronco is 1/64 scale. The Camaro and Challanger are both 1/24s from M2. I collect anything drag racing so I picked them up at Walmart surprisingly. Already removed some of the decals with brake fluid and then added a few of my own. There are several colors on the Bronco and will try to pick those up as well. Black is such a terrible color to shoot in overcast rainy weather.lazors 003.jpg lazors 009.jpg lazors 025.jpg lazors 059.jpg lazors 029.jpg lazors 064.jpg

Buying the Greenlight First of the V8 Interceptors I posted earlier pushed me back into the 1/18 stuff. I know this is more 1/64, but...

When I was in college Ertl did the FnF cars, so I grabbed the two I liked most at the time, Brian's green Eclipse and orange Supra. They were $24.99 / ea. On a whim post-Interceptor I started looking online for them and found someone local selling Dom's RX-7, the Heist Civic and Brian's Evo from 2F2F. I offered $80 for each since I saw them selling in the $100ish range on Ebay and figured it would save the fees and hassle of shipping. I ended up getting a flat "no", so maybe out of spite I started grabbing them off Ebay. The RX-7 was an easy snag for just over $100 shipped. The Civic had no box and a passenger mirror that had been repaired, but since I display my cars instead of leaving them in boxes, it didn't bother me and that ended up being about $105 shipped. A fully undamaged NIB car is selling for at least 50-75% higher than what I paid Lastly I just grabbed the Evo for a bit more at $140 shipped. I have to believe between renewed popularity of the early movies due to Craig Lieberman's IG prescence and the stimulus money being thrown around prices have gone up. I re-evaluated my case situation and realized I was getting quite close to another 12 position case if I so decided. I don't have room right now in my house, but my hope is to eventually move and build a man cave where I can display everything. I'll have about 40 total to display, and I only have room right now to display 31.

I have the Johnny Lightning 1/18 Herbie which was poor quality at best. It was a good effort at the time, but it's got the narrow wheels and the graphics and striping are all wrong. As I'm sure you Bug guys know Hot Wheels did a decent version of the Love Bug car as well as the Monte Carlo version. I kept going back and forth on which version to get. The Love Bug is the classic one, the movie I watch a zillion times as a kid and I love the stance with the black brake drums. However, the Monte Carlo Herbie is was cool with the white lettered Eagle GT tires. Despite my best intentions I did a total "why not both" moment. My plan is to list the Johnny Lightning 1/18 Herbie on Ebay or elsewhere to recoup some of the cash I outlaid for the Hot Wheels variants. I'll put up some photos when I get everything set up.

You are not alone collecting the 1/18s. I don't care about the size of the cars as much as I do the quality of the car. I have everything from 1/64 to 1/18. The downside to the 1/18s is that they take up a lot more space.
I'm also a big fan of the Fast and Furious 1 movie and have seen most of the others. I'm 61 and have a car I show and listen all the time about those kids with their tuner cars don't belong at car shows with the old timers. I always disagreed and enjoy seeing the tuners and the work they put into them. Same with the Low Riders. I read today Dom is going to be driving an electric 2000 hp 69 Charger in the next movie.
Everyone has been pretty cool on this website about what we all collect. I always enjoy seeing what these guys find that I haven't and some are pretty creative in how they post them.

@MikeyMcFly when your ready to sell that Johnny lightning Herbie let me know. I’ll agree with you it’s not as nice as the Hot Wheels version but being a vw guy and a big fan of herbie I wouldn’t mind owning both.

Also wanted to say... doesn’t matter make or scale a lot of us on here enjoy seeing all of them!

My pair comes Tuesday next week, so anytime after that. I have no reason to keep it. I still have the original box, but it has been displayed so any straps, etc are gone. I probably still have the screws for the base.

dec20 pics 190.jpg dec20 pics 192.jpg These are a couple early 80s Johan kits I had built. The 61-62 Fury was Pro Streeted and had the torsion bars cranked up. The Maverick originally was a Don Nicholson Pro Stock car. I used to have a 70 Maverick Grabber that was blue with white stripes that I had brought up from Georgia. Always have been partial to that kit.dec20 pics 202.jpg dec20 pics 203.jpg
