The package that was mis-delivered by UPS, the shipper is trying to blame them. I doubt UPS took it to the wrong state. I’m guessing it was either labeled wrong or the shipper mixed the tracking numbers up. This is what they sent me...

    I apologize
It looks like the carrier has miss delivered the package
I will handle everything with them
I will have a replacement order made and sent out.
I will let you know tracking as soon as I have it.
    I apologize for the inconvenience

Yeah , no way UPS took it there on a whim. Somebody in shipping goofed up. All packages are gps tracked. If u try to deliver one to the wrong place , the drivers computer will go crazy.

If I had it my way I'd kill all the grass in the front yard. Mowing started March, now it's starting to need it weekly. By the end of April it'll need it twice a week. Mowing in the Alabama summer is not what I call enjoyable.

Yeah, I wish we had more kids in the neighborhood to mow my grass. I'd gladly pay someone else to mow it, but big co's cost an arm and a leg. My neighborhood is mostly retirees.

I told my wife, now I know why people have kids, so they can do the chores

I grew up in a neighborhood where most of the people were old, retired or dead. I mowed every lawn and shoveled every sidewalk/driveway on the block at one time or another. The worst was a lady with a double lot who would pay me 2$ and a STICK of gum (no, not a pack) for mowing her lawn -- with my mower.

Most others were a bit better but never generous (or even fair really), I was too shy and polite to ask for more.

At the time I rationalized that "...these folks worked hard, times changed and they don't have much..."
Well, as I got older I realized that :censored: they were just miserable CHEAP people and had a dumb, shy kid to take advantage of.

Ask a kid nowadays to mow your lawn and he wants $40-50!!:rant::censored:

Thats the truth, a friend dropped my name to a widow lady, needing her lawn mowed, i said ok. But unknown to me was it was a huge yard...so i had to load my mower, weed eater and drive to town, i get there and and mowed it, took prob 2.5 hrs not including driving, she pays me $25o_O. Then nextime she calls and keeps calling all rude, leaving messages about when i was coming over to mow the lawn again? Like im supposed to stop what i was doing to go mow her lawn...i mowed again then told her she would have to find someone else cuz i had other things to do...and wasnt on call to mow her lawn.

What’s your all’s preferred method for replacing lawn mower tires? I tried starting fluid for seating the bead, but chickened out after trying twice. Ended up using a piece of pipe and some paracord. Two of the local tire dealers quoted $10-$20 per tire, if they could get them on the tire machine.

    1) Most important: Secure the rim to something solid at a comfortable height to work, I use the welding table.
    2) Set the new tire in the sun -- warm tires are way more flexible.
    3) Remove the valve stem core so you can use a blow gun nozzle -- lots more air volume.
    4) Lube the bead with soapy water.
    5) Small ratchet strap around the tread helps.
    6) Extra hands help too.
    7) If it takes longer than expected -- swear with gusto, might not seat the tire but you will feel better for it.

I’ve used ratchets straps, chain with a large screwdriver, etc. now it’s easier to just pay to have it done :anonymous:

I charged $20 a yard when I was a kid. Worst yards were the corner lots that were the size of 2-3 regular lots. Got wise after a summer and up-ed my prices for the big yards.

I had a lady several years ago that wanted me to give her a price on mowing her yard. Went and looked and it had a lot of stuff to mow around and was a large yard. She said “it usually takes me 8 hours to push mow it”. I told her I didn't have time. No way I could mow around all that stuff, weedeat, and come out ahead.

It has been said that I would eat canned dog food if it was microwaved first, also I have been witnessed eating pizza that fell on the garage floor (in a fairly clean spot and cheese up).

So with these high standards I call anything that someone else cooks for me a fancy meal

As requested, pics! Drove it for the first time yesterday, figured out a couple small issues and corrected them. Runs great! Now to continue nickel and diming myself to death with interior and trim pieces :bananadead: after that I'll be taking it to a shop to have the paint/bodywork finished.
