Hi, like 10 years ago or more, I remember having a hard time finding replacement top plate bushings to assemble complete Bilstein 5100 strut for my own first gen. Now I have to assemble and ship two complete struts mounted for a customer. Reusing stock bushings is not an option besides it doesn't make much sense to reuse 20 years old bushings.

I think Bilstein are pretty lazy to not supply new bushings and washers for most of their front 5100 while most of any replacement shock manufacturer will have some kind of new bushings with them. But that already been discussed I guess. Also you can purchase top plate with replacement bushings for 2nd Tacoma gen for cheap while it's not the case for first gen... it seems they only sell bare top plate with nothing else supplied. (Don't mention Gabriel 143325 they are a listed but stud holes do not align it's a listing mistake)

Dealer replacement are a joke, they would cost more than the shocks themselves and I don't want to come back to my customer with that kind of extra charge.

I found two Bilstein P/N: B4-KT1-Z097A00 and B4-KT1-Z103A00 that exist but it's not written anywhere if they fit 24-249928 (5100 for 2003 Tacoma 4WD) as I don't find any Bilstein application chart for them.

I saw a thread where the guy used a set that was supposed to be direct replacement also and it end out that the bushings stack was too long and he wasn't able to start the nut on it. Also I know that if they are not properly mounted, the top rod will eventually wear out on the top plate and the shock rop could actually break. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-5100-bilstein-correct-upper-bushings.627414/

I'm sure the info is out there but I can't find it. I don't understand why some company like energy suspension are not selling polyurethane replacement kit for them they have good and affordable products... money would be raining on them. I think I used them back in time but what I try on my truck is different of what I'm comfortable doing on a customer truck.

I also found the Moog top plate could be an option but I already purchase some Monroes... Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Here’s what I had ordered when I had 5100’s and got the same shock of it not having all the necessary parts for install.

Thanks man, that seem to be exactly what I'm looking for or at least the best real solution. I ordered them and I will see. Thanks again for your input, that is greatly appreciated. You give me my faith back into forums! ;)
