The problem I see with the Bronco is the engine is very small and I really don't want a turbo. They also have that pain in the neck start/stop technology. I have a work explorer and it is a pain.

But 4 and 6 Cylinder Turbo's seem to be the norm anymore so the Bronco having them is no different.

I did. Was planning on going Bronco as my next vehicle and getting it sometime this year. Then they started to get pushed out and my then current vehicle started to have major issues so I got a Taco instead. Love my truck, but I might look into a Bronco as a secondary vehicle in a couple of years.

Damn! Ford needs to join TW and sell all their Broncos to all you guys :)

Here is my Bronco. I can't see owning a new one.

I definitely prefer the older Broncos to the newer ones. My family all had them when I was growing up in the late 80s/early 90s, at one point in time there were 7 Broncos in the family. Getting together for the Holidays always looked like a Ford Dealership parking lot.

Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.
If by "on the way" you mean "starting to ship in a few months" then you are correct.

The only Bronco currently available is the smaller Bronco Sport which is based on a car platform (not the Ranger truck platform like the Bronco.)

Its amazing that still at this point that people keep confusing the Bronco Sport with the Bronco, totally different vehicles.

Go tell a Bronco Sport owner that they didn't get a Bronco, but a Bronco Sport. :crapstorm:

I looked at them and was a little disappointed when I saw the price thinking: "well, for $38k its not going to be a V8, probably some ecoboost V6"...and then it turned out to be a 2.0L :der::facepalm::boom:

When I was looking at them 2 months ago it was a 1.8L for the lower end trims, and 2.0L for the higher end trims.

You were not looking at a Bronco, you were looking at Bronco Sports which are a vastly different vehicles.

    Agreed

    That’s the problem with marketing

I know they want the bronco sport to sell due to bronco name only - and it will to people

but it’s also creating confusion in market place

like all the Range Rover sport vs Range Rover

I really wish they had chosen a completely different name for the Sport since it has nothing in common with the Bronco.

I see now...its now an considerable vehicle. Am I to understand that it comes with 4.7 gears from the factory? It say 4.7 final drive gear ratio so...

I am not totally sure on that but l do remember seeing that the manual transmission models have a super low crawl ratio.
