Are the hammer hangers as good as it gets for SOA? Doesn’t seem like much of an improvement to droop. I can’t really tell that it changes the geometry any from stock

They don't in the new 3rd iteration. I've got a buddy that has done a direct comparison to the BAMF and they are almost identical as far as geometry. Me personally I like the HH a tad better for fit and finish and adding the cross bar.

Personally for flex set up a good shackle flip and you'll be golden. All the "bolt-on" ones don't set the shackles up for an ideal angle to use the available added travel. That video I linked and tagged you to should help explain some. But you want the shackles swept back some so they swing before the spring ever gets engaged and you'll optimize the travel. If you set it up high enough you could take advantage of a long shackle and get some added droop.

Are you going on the GA Traverse trip?

Any issues daily driving/work horsing something set up like that? Do you use factory length spring packs or something longer?

Nah I’m hanging close to home with baby girl for now. Won’t be long and she can come wheeling’

BIG WARM-UP TODAY: The sky is clear across Alabama early this morning with many communities in the 40s around daybreak. Look for a big warm-up today… temperatures reach the low 80s this afternoon with a sunny sky. A few spots could even see mid 80s… making it one of the warmest days so far this year. We stay warm and dry tomorrow; with a partly sunny sky temperatures will return to the low 80s by afternoon.

MID-WEEK SHOWERS: A disturbance will bring a chance of showers to the state Wednesday. Some thunder is possible, but this time thankfully there is no risk of severe thunderstorms. The heaviest rain will be over the southern half of the state where moisture is deeper… amounts for North Alabama will be under 1/2 inch. The day will be a cooler with highs in the mid 70s.

THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND: For now we expect dry weather Thursday and Friday… with a mix of sun and clouds we project highs in the 65-69 degree range, which is about 7-10 degrees below average for mid-April in Alabama. A disturbance will bring the chance of some light rain to the state Friday night, followed by a dry weekend. With a partly sunny sky the high Saturday and Sunday will be close to 70 degrees.

NEXT WEEK: Global models continue to suggest a relatively quiet pattern with little, if any rain through the week along with temperatures at or below seasonal averages. No sign of any late season freeze… there is a high probability the next freeze for most of Alabama will come in late October or November. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 1945: A series of significant tornadoes raked Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Illinois. Antlers, Oklahoma were nearly obliterated by a massive F5 tornado that zigzagged from southwest to northeast across the town. 69 people died in the twister. Another tornado killed eight people in Oklahoma City. The disaster was overshadowed by the loss of President Franklin Roosevelt, who died suddenly at his vacation home at Warm Springs, Georgia.

ON THIS DATE ONE YEAR AGO: The 2020 Easter tornado outbreak was underway… during the two-day outbreak, a total of 140 tornadoes touched down across 10 states, inflicting widespread and locally catastrophic damage. The strongest tornado was rated high-end EF4 and occurred in Southern Mississippi, producing estimated winds of 190 mph, reaching a width of 2.25 miles, and causing eight deaths. In Alabama, over two dozen tornadoes touched down.

    Yes
You’ll have to remove the rack if this is the first time they are being replaced. As far as I know Energy Suspension is the only one that makes aftermarket bushings for our racks but I stay constantly replacing them so I can’t recommend them unfortunately...

I’ll be testing these guys soon...
