Any idea how many times you can daisy chain? As in, say I have the OEM switch I am snatching the ground and illumination from; how many other switches can you safely use that one switch for without causing any issues or jeopardizing anything (not even sure this is applicable to be honest).

I currently have 6 switches daisy chained and have no issues. There’s quite a few others at this point that have the same. I’m not aware of any panels that will allow you to hook up much more than that (you might get an extra switch or two). I’ll point out that, regardless of what panel you get, they’re all designed to have the switches run to your illumination circuit. Whether you use these daisy chain harnesses or just solder all of your illumination wires together — they’ll work the same as they’re all in parallel. The daisy chain is just cleaner.

Sorry for the silence folks. I’m working on a couple retail deals and trying to navigate that whole process.

Thanks for the response! I probably wouldn’t need to do more than 3 or 4 so it sounds like I’ll be good to go. Thanks again!

    Hey folks! Just an update:

I have reached a retail deal and things are getting off the ground (albeit slowly). It will take a few months to get the production harnesses into retailers, though, so I am going to re-open orders starting next week. I will be making a “stripped down” version of each harness without the daisy chain and without the extra green connector for the switches. Instead, I will be shipping the harnesses with bullet connectors (or similar) and will provide instructions on how to connect multiple switches to the harnesses. It will still be a very clean solution and is simply easier for me to make by hand.

Thanks to everyone for the support. Honestly never thought I’d get to the point of having a product in a retail space... yet here we are. I’ll update the first post when the next batch is ready. Stay tuned!

For overhead, this taps off existing supply and we have to then make our own daisy chain? I’m interested, but trying to figure out if this is what I need, or what you’re planning on marking is a better solution.

All harnesses are now available for order. These are the stripped down versions with bare leads (see first page). Lead time is 2-3 business days. This will be the last batch I make before going silent again to handle retailers for the next couple of months. People that ordered while I was out of stock will get their harnesses shipped out this week. Thanks, everyone!

Looking for a left side of steering wheel adapter. I read that this new stripped down version can still be chained? Is that correct? I have a lot of empty slots to fill lol.

ECT PWR / AUTO harness components should be in tomorrow. Still a handful that aren’t spoken for.

I saw awhile back there was mention of a center console option for manuals (likely from the HVAC controls). Is this something you have available now? Or is it something you will be have in your retail batch?

I am currently approving samples of that harness for the second retail batch, but we're not anticipating that one to hit stores until much later in the year. If you are an MT and want a below dash I can special order components and make one ahead of time -- there's just a small wait because of shipping.

Ya, I would be game for that! I am not sure where you have left off with the ability to power multiple switches, but I am looking to have 3 in that area. What else would I need for that?

Also, let me know what you need from me. I think you said something about what type of HVAC control I have?

    *Edit people have been found*

If anyone with a decent camera (SLR preferred) would be willing to take pictures of their cargo light switch, AUTO, ECT PWR, and overhead console I will give you a full harness of your choice on the house. I am looking to gather some decent photos for installation instructions that will be available to retailers later in the year. Simply, I don't have all of the switches I mentioned (I own an SR access cab), and having someone submit original photos with permission to use for media cuts-down on needing to meet with someone face to face with COVID rising. Let me know if you're interested and thanks in advance!
