    I don't have a compressor - probably should. It's a 50/50 if I even air down usually though.

But this reminds me .... I need to put my sliders back on o_O might do that tomorrow if it's nice enough out. It's cold out there today :(

I can bring a computer and my cable I guess, can program the baofengs with the channels, it's a lot easier to use CHIRP.

I’m almost always solo camping off the DEC roads so I’ve had no real use for comms or any real off road driving components.

hoping to gain a little bit of knowledge and meet some cool like minded people.

This will probably end up just costing me a ton of money.
    “Oh those sliders are sweeeeet...”
    “That front bumper though...”

Everyone had a first time once.

It is looking like we will have a decent turnout. I'm going to make the suggestion that we split off into smaller groups. One group of stock or near stock trucks and one of more advanced drivers. If we have 15+ trucks its going to be a day of waiting for people. Better to have we go this way, you go this way and we meet over there.

Second this, I know I'm gonna want to push a little harder on this trip and its no fun for anyone waiting or being forced into obstacles you're not comfortable with

Agreed. Maybe Beginner, intermediate, advanced? I actually enjoy recovery so I'm happy to do a few with the new guys. Like 3 people so far have never been wheeling. Is anyone on bigger than 33s or front locked? I think most of us are like 32-33", front skid plate, front and rear recovery points, some with a rear locker. And I think we're all using daily drivers

It's definitely a start, those are just under 32" I think. What tires are they?

    yeah, it’s pretty crappy though.
I’ll be limping home pretty bad if it gets to that.
    Haha.
Maybe I’ll just hang out in the parking lot.

Wish I still had my drone, It’d be pretty awesome getting some shots.

I think it's actually a good idea to show up with hardly any gear/upgrades at first, and buy things as you need them. You get to see firsthand what works for other people, and what you wish you had. Rather than guessing in advance.

We got plenty of practice doing recoveries on the last trip to VT. Haha.
If BHM is anything like Mettowee I’m thinking a lot of it will be decisions on the fly on what certain trails look like.

I just have stock tires, BUT I do have a IFS skid and (I hope to have them back on by this) bolt on sliders. Otherwise I am completely stock too. For what I've done with this truck, I'm impressed - and don't care to put more aggressive tires (unless I do the trip to Tuktayuktuk I'll want some E's) or a lift and send this truck (right now) down a trail that it can't already handle, since I want to bring it to work the following Monday. I've gone beyond what I should probably be doing with it as it is anyway....
