Lol, yeah, we get used to the idea that powerful things are supposed to be noisy and loud.

It's like vacuums. They purposefully design them to be loud because people would complain they don't work as well as their old (loud) one.

    Very true.

I actually bought one of the fancy miele canister vacs and it is so quiet compared to a lot of the cheaper vacuums i've used. And it totally sucks, in a good way.

Wife bought a Dyson a few years ago. Good vacuum, but honestly all the plastic construction and noise really make it seem like a $150 vacuum, not a $500 one.

Yeah I've always been leery of dyson. They go way too hard on the marketing.

Don't get me wrong, they really do suck, but I'm betting their earlier models were of much higher grade, before they (probably) started manufacturing everything using child labor in Bangladesh or where ever.

Took keep this from veering too far off topic, you could really make quick work of a Dyson with a 3/8" cordless driver...

Ryobi does sell 1/2" impact wrenches. I have the P261 which advertises 300ft/lbs of torque, it was replaced with the P262 which advertises 600ft/lbs of torque. I've been really happy with my P261, it zips off lug and axle nuts with no problem.

Of the two options posted by OP I'd pick the Milwaukee. I watch a lot of auto repair videos on Youtube and that 3/8" drive impact seems to be really popular among professional (youtube) mechanics. The 3/8" M12 ratchet also seems really useful. I have a compressor but battery tools are more convenient for my uses.

Oh man, those are even available at Home Depot, totally missed that.

I have a compressor too, but ever since I built a shop in the back/side yard, where I park my truck I have to use another 50' extension to get my air line out there.

I kinda want to get a little pancake compressor (for air nailers, etc...) so I don't have to cart my 15 gallon one around the house when my air lines don't reach all the way from the shop.

It's between the 2960-22 and the 2854-22, but I don't know which is better????

I love my M12 ratchet and screwdriver. Use them all the time. I have Dewalt for my larger tools but there are plenty of worthy competitors at that size. My friends all had Dewalt so it made sense to be able to swap batteries or something.

    4 run, 2 don't
I was genuinely surprised to see DeWalt didn't have one when I looked it up some 2 years ago. The ratchet was the final shove to go Milwaukee.

I’m very impressed with the Milwaukee. Batteries and attachments are readily available when needed. I find I use my M12 much more than M18 even on larger projects.

I'm not a fanboy (excuse the term) to any one brand of cordless tools.
I come from a long term use, of DeWalt 18v drills, impacts, saws, sawzalls, and 14v, same tools, same brand.
My batteries were gettin tired, so when I bought new, I bought Rigid 18v Series. 3/8" impact, 1/2" impact, 1/2" drill. No complaints.
I've used the snot out of all of them.
Purchased them, based on a fellow friend and contractor.....who, I don't know anyone who abuses tools more than he does. LOLOL!!!!!
