    All of them.
    Mine only sees heavy use with the hood open. It will air up the lock with 2 second run time. Stays decently cool to the touch

    Why? Mines been mounted under there for 4 years without issues. The compressor gets hotter on its own while running than the ambient heat of the engine so not sure what else would be an issue.

    It’s safer there from dust and other elements.

    Mine worked fine until it didn't. The VP of Engineering rebuilt mine at King of the Hammers and he told me that the engine heat is what caused it to die. Made sense to me.

    As with all things in life. I've heard that theory as well but with so many in the engine bay without issues I think its safe to say that its an exception and not an expectation.

    Mounted my ARB twin in the bed with the expedition Essentials mount and Mobtown locking cubby door. Very convenient with the switch/coupling located right there. Only downside is that it gets filthy. Should have insulated it better, but works for now

    I have an ARB twin and haven't had much luck with it.

    First, the thing blows HOT air. I've had my hose blow apart due to the high temp air coming out of the compressor. I'm not running a tank so that could be part of the issue, but nonetheless its something people ought to be aware of.

    Secondly, the outlet manifold cracked for no reason that I could discern and ARB would not respond to queries on warranty. Hell they wouldn't even entertain sending me the specific part so I could change it out myself. I think the crack had something to do with the extreme thermal cycling.

    SO basically I'm over $1000 in on a compressor that, frankly doesn't live up to its price point.

    Sure looks good for the gram though. :jerkoff:

    How are you at $1000, I spent $365 on my twin.

    Most people add either the manifold or a braided line to combat heat.

    Each one went for ~450ish pre tax. A quick google search right now shows them selling for over 550. Maybe you bought in before a big price hike?

    Either way, yeah I've since added a braided line to combat heat, but haven't had the chance to use it yet.

    Oh interesting, I got mine in the group buy I think my numbers are off. I probably paid closer to $400 will have to go back and look.

    SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
    I was thinking to install in the cab, behind the driver-side rear seat in that storage spot. Keep the air from freezing in the winter so I can't fill tires up (been there, done that). Has anyone done an install there?

    Compressed air heats up unfortunately. You could get a high temp check valve to a heat diss hose to a small tank, it would help. The only issue may be is there's a manifold between the twins, I believe.
