There is an SLT version available. Super Lite Throttle.
I have the LT and also feel the same way and will be switching to the SLT version.

I found this to be the same with the vfTuner 2.0 tune file. I barely press the throttle and it will snap your head back if I'm not careful, and passengers don't like it. I can mostly adjust the foot pressure but it is still not linear. Stock had some tendency to do this but not as much as after the tune.

I'm not sure what to adjust in the tune file to even this out and not going to read through thousands or even hundreds of posts on the OVT threads, so feeling like the cost for OVT+vfT was not a good investment at this point. And not being able to edit the KD tune file even owning vfT is probably a non-starter for me. OVT really needs to get some *good* usable documentation out for their product on each section of the ECU and what it does and what to adjust, perhaps a FAQ or searchable knowledgebase...

You don’t need a Tacoma specific FAQ page for the file.
If you were interested in tuning you could check out HP Academy. They have plenty of videos and tutorials on it.
With how much this has taken off, I’m sure it won’t be long before someone has some solid how tos.

Try and get a few guys with Tacoma's together in your area to make that drive for @19TRDTac0 worth his while. I don't know him personally and maybe he can't make that drive anyway, but with communication you might be able to work something out.
Some of the tuners are offering small discounts for group tuning when the things like distance traveled and number of trucks to be tuned meets the right parameters for the tuner, but that is entirely up to the tuner.

Kreg, thanks for the update. For those wanting the AGM battery V boost, do we request that?

I had a few Manual guys asking for more throttle throughout all the gears, so I made an XT= Extra throttle version for the Manual tunes.
If you have a manual KDMax tune and want the XT version, PM me.

I increased the throttle maps in gears 1-6 on the manual tune.
    Named XT for Extra throttle.
    That is it.

I’ve been running the SLT version for a couple days now. The throttle is perfect for daily driving and cruising around. Shifting is great just as it was on the LT version initially tried. Truck is stock weight so this tune runs great and still has the power you need without the touchy pedal.

Hit the 1k “break in” period and figured I’d open it up a bit. Man, I figured it would be way better than the 18 but it’s still jerky through the power band! Still a fun truck to drive, love manuals, but definitely needs a tune

The Manual tune was made with SFOB as the base.

We need someone in the IL/WI area to flash!

But I’m probably just going to get the cable and software to do myself, for really no other reason than piece of mind to change/update at will.

To get this on your truck you need an installer and the tuning fee. Depending where you are in OK, we are currently trying to get a Dallas tuning event started if yore anywhere near there.
