Hah. Apparently around me the 4x4 is almost impossible to find on the used market and when you do the premium attached to them is insane. I'm Florida west coast and would love to have it for the sand but honestly it was anywhere from 8-10k more for the same truck in 4x4 form.

Looks like $200 of that goes to the r4t terminals and not just the mount.

Haha. I think long beds look good if the truck is lifted with wheels and tires etc. From the factory they just look like clown shoes

Long beds look really good if they have the exhaust coming out of a cutout on the side of the bed.

Really liking mine as well. I did need to hog out the holes a bit as well to get the mount screws through.

For actual driving its fine with speed but with slow idling or trail crawling you smell a lot more exhaust in the cabin

That thing looks like a pain-in-the-ass if you ever need a simple jump start. It's a "solution" in search of a problem. That's some stereo-installer level crap I wouldn't touch with a 10' pole.

That's a good looking setup! I had a DFG slide in my Xterra that I owned before I bought my taco. I was using the articulating version, because it was mounted high up on my drawer system. Very well built slide, and served its purpose well. :)

I can understand the frustration around not having this one slide out far enough to open the lid all the way. This was a pain point for me when I was trying to decide which fridge/slide combo to run under my Diamondback cover. I ultimately decided to build my own slide, because I could accomplish a few objectives. For starters, I was able to mount it a little further back inside the bed, in order to maintain some "full height" and "full width" space near the tailgate when packing up the truck for camping. Secondly, I was able to design the tray to be deep enough to store things behind the fridge and get to them easily (the Diamondback cover doesn't open when my RTT is mounted on top of it). Finally, the tray extends far enough out of the bed for the lid of the fridge to open all the way. Check it out here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/homemade-48-long-aluminum-fridge-slide.713746/

Anyway, nice job on the install, and good choice going with a DFG slide. That guy has done so much research and trial/error to design his slides to be as low profile and minimalist as possible, while still delivering a great product that works awesome.

Does anyone in the PNW have a shop they would trust for advice/sales/installs?

Specifically wanting to buy/install a lift but am totally clueless on top of not having a garage of my own. Getting away with it cheap is less important than having a rock solid mod.

    Any help is appreciated.

Edit: Located in Portland but am willing to drive for the right shop.
