OK so I first noticed the issue last spring, but it was inconsistent and not very noticeable most times. Now that it's time to drive around with the windows open i am noticing the same issue, although it is much more noticeable and seemingly more reproducible. The truck squeals under load, almost like crickets chirping if a bunch got together and smoked crack.

If I disengage the clutch the noise disappears in a few seconds, and reappears almost immediately as soon as the clutch is engaged. if I am in gear and just barely idling (very little load on engine/transmission), the noise seems to quiet if not disappear altogether, until I accelerate and the squealing comes back. I'm pretty sure it is happening in all gears, F & R. the noise is not noticeable inside the cab with windows closed. There is no noise when rolling in neutral and foot is off the clutch pedal. There is noise when the clutch is engaged and moving.

I had a toyota service person hop in on Friday to verify the noise, and he thinks they will need my taco for a week, maybe more, to diagnose and repair... Hoping somebody around here might have an idea so i don't have to rent a car for a week...

My clutch squeals from day 1.
Can someone tell me if left untreated, the squealing will lead to premature failure of the clutch?
If not, I'll leave it be.

    this and that...
might be to (throwout) bearing. was pretty infamous in the 2nd gen. had the squeal surface on both my previous gen (xrunner, trd or) at less than 10k each. this truck closing in on 20k and no to squeal. all was bought right off the barge new so the driving habits was the same across the board lol.

If not under warranty, take it to a good independant shop and save yourself some real $.

Even if it is under warranty a clutch is considered a wear item, so likely they'd exclude it.

Most importantly, get it diagnosed properly before turning it over. 'A week to diagnose and repair' sounds sketchy.

For you, warranty claim. Clutches dont squeal. Components in the operation of the clutch squeal.

You should have returned day 1.5 for correction, even if its just lube on the fork/slave engagement.
