This is pretty accurate. Pro tip: don't be lazy and square up your lumber.

Gotcha. They drop ours down as well. We're having a similar 'refill' problem this year; it's still about 3 feet down from where it usually is.

Ouch. They do some damage. It's like driving into a bowling ball.

    Shit! That's a good hit.

probably fired from the news station  I feel bad laughing because I know there was one fatality in that incident but damn, if that news broadcast wasn't the funniest damn thing I've seen.

I started going through my trailer this weekend. Cleaned it up, got a first coat of black paint on it, moved some lights. Discovered it's definitely a Pequea:

    upload_2021-4-12_14-4-38.jpg

I think it's very well made. The steel is definitely thicker than other utility trailers I've seen. Pequea says the curb weight is 1200 lbs. A Cam Superline of the same size is 1115, a Big Tex is 983. Only heavier one I found was a PJ at 1330 lbs.

    Nice.
You've got to pronounce it 'pecka' though.

Edit- And I'm no expert, but that paint looks red...

So...uhhh, 10k mark-up on tellurides these days? 5% over for being more than 60 miles or out of state (we are 20 miles away but out of state) and then "tire fees, NY inspection fees, book fees" almost 10k added on! Before taxes and registration!

    WTF.

Will NOT pay over MSRP, and I feel like even that is too much for a car knowing the markups they have.

Not sure what out next play is here, going to call some dealers but all seem to be having at least 5k markup. I finally sold my wife on this car and now I might have hit a wall. :frusty:

Do I buy a minivan and trick her into liking it? "just drive it until the market calms down and it will be my car after":fingerscrossed:

Damn - nice. You should take it to a dump or something and get a weight on it. I want to do that with my Tacoma and see how much room I have to play with for camping stuff :D

Oh yeah the Telluride and the Palisade are like, gotta have 'em cars being marked up. A kia. Marked up. Blows my mind.

Right, fucking kia and hyundai have markups, yeah they make fine cars I'm trying to buy one, but not markup good. This whole country is on its fucking head at the moment, someone needs to give us all a good slap in the head.

@Bridge4 What are they looking to give you for your 4Runner? The car market is nuts all around right now. Don't get too focused on what their price is, look at the delta between your trade and the sale price. If they pony up on your trade value, it might work out for you. I never dreamed they'd give me what they did for my gasser 250 when I traded it but used inventory is low.

I didn't even get that far. I haven't had good offers during covid so far, nothing over 23. Which I guess might be, but i feel like they'd sell it for 30...

I will not pay over msrp for a mass produced car. not now not eve, mental block i guess lol

yeah, I get it, it's a tough one to get past. To me, I'd pay $250k for my next truck as long as they gave me $249k for mine. I only pay attention to the delta, the rest is just a shell game as far as I'm concerned.

maybe a few sparingly if I wanted a brand new raptor within a week of release or something. But a generic mom mobile nah.

I would - only because Rhode Island you pay full sales tax on a truck regardless of trade in. Most times the trade in is deducted for sales tax. Not in Rhode Island in trucks. Full sale price is taxed no matter what.

Thats a very good point, I don't think that was gonna be the deal though. They literally didn't even enquire.

Yeah, the dealers have zero interest is adjusting trade value based 9n current sales.

Local kept calling, trying to get me to trade my 18 TRD OR(22k on it) and my 16 P4X(6mt).
    Their offers were pathetic...
Told me they had someone looking for a manual, then, low balled the shit outta me because.... its a manual...
The Tacoma, we can't keep them on the lot, but, here is a trade offer, and we are going to put it right on the lot for 10k more...
Then, here is a T4R, with an inflated price, we won't negotiate on.

    I started to walk away...
Then, well, if you really wanted the deal, you'd take it...

I laughed, and said, YALL CALLED ME.. I was perfectly content with my rides, but, if you could come up with a helluva deal....

They're laughing all the way to the bank.

    THIS is capitalism.
Oil prices are going up. Demand is up. OPEC is not increasing output, and neither are OUR wells. They are putting shareholders first.
    I can go on.

Put it simply, decrease demand, and things will fall back into place.
    But, people are panic buying.
I've stopped a lot of stuff around here.
Hell, with the cost of siding last year, and a lack of contractors... I decided go add another bike instead.
It makes no sense to me, all of this will settle, then, all of those people adding debt, will be upside-down... again...

But, I know most if not all of y'all know what I just rambled about.... just needed to say it.

Believe me, if I thought I could get a decent offer on the house and property as it sits... I'd sell too. I'd just wait until the market rebalances, and people start to default again, to buy another 1.
