    Hard to find a reciever with a designated speaker level subwoofer output I'm sure. Does your sub have speaker outputs? If so you could get a 5.1 reciever with a 100w output on the mains (A channels), cennect your subwoofer from it and then to the front speakers. Only problem with that is it's not true dolby digital.

    LOL!! Yeah...My Current unit is a Pioneer 5.1 reciever, but I think Im loosing a few inputs.....There is a "Buzz" or high pitched Humm, comming from the "VCR" and "CD" input. So far, the "DVD" input is fine.....

    Yeah, THe Sub works fine. My Last receiver had an powered sub output, and since I replaced it, I havent had it hooked up. I may install an amp in it........or.....just leave it lie....

    Yeah...Onkyo is a quality unit from everything I have read. I like the simplicity of the Denon though....

    FWIW I was in the A/V industry for about 10 years as an installer than moved on to design/sales and project management. Before you choose, definately take a look at the YAMAHA line. I'm rocking the RX-V1700!

    Why not install a plate amp into the sub so it will be a powered sub? Easy as pie. What sub do you have? Check PartsExpress.com for some amps.
