    Love Matt’s.

Would 37” mud terrain tires have gotten him through? I didn’t see Matt or his Fab Rat buddy try it.

Not sure. But they probably avoided it at all cost given that the corvair was getting pulled during winching.

Lizzie is cute. We’re partial to the whole quirky crew, though. Ed especially.

She's a little hottie. Funny how she hates being in the back seat when Ed is along.

Ed reminds me of the guys my O/O trucker dad would find on the road and hire as a “helper.” These guys would sleep in our basement when I was a kid. They had a smell to them but were always kind.

On the Corvair, didn't he run locker on front and torsen in back? Wonder why he just didn't run locker in the back as well.

Knowing Rory's reputation, probably a fair price for the often technical nature of his recoveries. Same with Matt. Not looking to stab you in the heart, but enough to run a small business.

Strap boards to the outside of the tire and you can get out.

Firewood is great if you have clearance.

Truckclaws is a commercial product using a hunk of aluminum. Same idea. I've used a ratchet strap in mud (the worst part is getting on and snugged). But this Taco and the guy out at Folsom Lake (Sacramento) both could have driven out using these tricks. I had RWD on my Ford Transit Cargo. Limited slip rear end, so you have to turn off traction control, but made it in and out of many spots. With Tacoma, I suspect I will get further before getting stuck!

    https://truckclaws.com/

I have the II series. I paid under $100 when they first came out (they were running a special, and I had limited body clearance on the cargo van.) At $179 they are getting too pricey. An old 2x4 and straps work just fine!
