Just finding this product now - awesome stuff! Definitely looking like the best option for protecting paint from offroad abuses...

One question, is there a plan to release a Gen2 access cab variant?

I have had my panels almost 9 months. I will be honest in that while I love my panels, it is a pain to wash the truck now. Drive through car washes are not a good idea anymore with these. I had one of the larger driver door panels rip off in the drive through car wash and I had to turn back around and ask them to stop it so they could retrieve it. That was embarrassing to say the least. Truth be told, it is not the worst thing though as I have other accessories on the truck now like antennas that shouldn't go through car washes either.

Sand, grains of dirt, etc. tend to work their way up between the panels and your paint. I found that for a deep clean of the truck, it is pertinent to remove the panels and wash both the inside/outside of the panel and my truck to prevent the damages to the clearcoat that could occur overtime of rough substances vibrating underneath the panels and digging into the truck. Almost a sandblasting really that occurs over many miles of driving with rough particles trapped in there.

Be aware that this is not unknown to the company, they rightly advertise that these panels should not stay on the truck all the time and should be taken off for periods of time when not exposing the truck to paint-damaging obstacles. It is my own fault and prerogative that I run these panels most all the time for my own vanity's sake :p

So my go to now with washing my truck is to use my own pressure washer at home on a lower pressure nozzle to knock the mud and sand off both the panels and the truck. Take off the panels, and repeat the spray down. Then I proceed as normal to hand wash the truck and replace the panels. Hope that helps!

I like goat armor but, it would only take someone less than a few min if less to YOINK them off your truck and walk/drive away. especially for all the mall crawlers that keep them on 24/7

    It’s definitely a process. I agree.

I need to figure out a good solution to wash the panels easier.

sure, but the opportunity is there. They are great for off roading and I suppose serve their purpose for that. Just would have to take them off and on, I would not leave them on. Even some other taco owners will steal from one another..

    Nothing yet

PRETTY sure this ia something youd only put on your truck when wheeling. Thats it. I have magnets for my business on my truck, and you don't leave them on in a carwash, you also dont leave them on ALL THE TIME. Crap gets under them, it's not a secret. If you wanted something on all the time, should get a wrap.
