Howdy from San Antonio, guys - I am going to be setting up a visit to the DFW area to offer the KDMax tune sometime in early May to mid June, based on interest. I will be starting a thread entitled "DFW KDMax Tuning Event." Gotta get at least 10 trucks committed for the event. If you are interested, please sign up on said tune thread and wait for a concrete date and location to make your Tacoma drive like a damn champion.

If you please, search for info about the KDMax and make an informed decision. Please read thoroughly and pay attention to the many, many reviews...
If you have detailed questions, contact me or the tune creator, @PapaRee and we'll do our best to answer.

If not enough people sign up to do the meet, I will take tune orders on a case by case for any interested.

If you're not interested, sorry for the thread jack, just pass on by. Thanks

    Afternoon gents.

Wife got me a new trailer brake controller (redarc liberty) for my bday and my used abused Curt is now laying on my workbench collecting dust. If anyone can use it id be happy to trade for a 6 pack or buccees beef jerky.

I'll be totally honest. I totally forgot about this one. Started mowing the yard, lawnmower crapped out. Bought new mower. Finished yard. Drank beer and forgot about things.

if you've got solid MT tunes I might be down. I'm thinking about doing some tuning myself. But this would save time.

Definitely have the MT tunes for you! The tune really changes the truck, man.
It seems the MT guys like the higher throttle option as it's easier to manage than in an AT. The K&D guys are actually testing an extra throttle option right now - though I think they're addicted to throttle juice - I like the more mellow throttle. All subjective!

I'd love the opportunity to tune your truck and after, when you see how crazy good it drives, you may very well want to start tuning others to share the smiles. The north Texas region does need a tuner. Something to think about! ...but I'm not really the guy to talk to about that anyway :D

So a dumb question. I got 5.29 gears what all can I expect out of this tune compared to the way it’s driving now.

Sounds good to me when are you thinking about coming up? I'd love to help tune others too if that works out.

Right now I have a SpeedForm throttle controller--- Would that work with this in sync or better to just remove and sell?

Not a dumb question at all dude! I have 4.88's so I do have a different gear experience than stockers - I f'ing love it. I think gears and these tunes are a very synergistic combo.
Truly, I cannot attest to driving with 5.29's and the KDMax tune but a lot of dudes can in the KDMax threads - post up there and you'll definitely get a response to your question, which again, not dumb, in fact very legitimate.
I have only heard good things, especially when it comes to many 5.29 guys being limited to like 86mph or something like that - the tune fixes that to a very acceptable degree
