Let us know what you end up getting! I sold my 5D mkiii about 4 months ago in December of 2020. You can definitely find some that are in good/decent shape for a fair price on eBay.

 

I had a mark iii for a very very long time and used the 50mm 1.8 for everything. Loved the 50. Sold my photo buisness about 10 years ago now. Kinda regret it. Been debating on a a7 or back to the mark iii. I would def get magic lantern again for the mk3

What are you replacing with?

 

The 5d line up is a beast of a camera. I read that they're doing away with it and turning their focus on mirrorless.

 

yeah, I found a used 5d with the canon 50mm f/1.2 for 1k. I am just iffy about buying used stuff, especially from offer up. The PX has a sweet deal on the Sony a7 . Maybe I will just buy a kodak instant ha

 

Is the offerup local? Or one of those that ships items? If it's local it would be worth checking out in person for sure. There's also Adorama, b&h, mpb, and so on. Or you can jump on that sweet Kodak lol just don't forget to charge the flash and rotate the knob after each shutter

I've been shooting Canon for almost 20 years, but Sony owns the game right now with the a7. Prime time to make the switch if you don't have any lenses.

 

I don't have a camera anymore. I sold my photo biz a long time ago. But the more I go play and venture in the truck I went to get more. I love Astro photography. Px has this bad boy for sale for 1700. Just the body

 

Easy decision in my book, but it's not my wallet.
I do love mirrorless. My Canon M50 is stupid small, which means I'm more likely to bring it along with me.

 

Do it! That was my original choice but bought the 5d mkiii since I already had canon lens.

 

I have a Sony A7Rii, and its an extremely nice camera.
If you hunt/wait for sales, it drops to 1400.. which is was I got mine for.

I've had both good and bad experiences with KEH, and personally won't buy from them again.
