Jankowski sure has been a flop. With Sceviour picking up his game lately, Jankowski is sure to be a scratch when some other guys get back in the lineup, if not being waived outright.

I'm not sure what you folks thought Jankowski was. He was always a very questionable 3/4 center who often benefitted from very good line mates and protected minutes in Calgary.

In case anyone didn't notice, Sam Bennett was worth more on the trade market than Taylor Hall. Let that sink in for a moment. Between Hall being in control of his fate and the rumor mill his value was below that of a career third line center who isn't a UFA this summer.

You act all tough just because Vancouver hasn't lost a game since March 24.

Indeed...last 10-15 games were played like a balloon leaking air. Giving up more shots and goals all of the sudden ??!

Something in the coaching/management just feels off.

It's been the same thing for the last few years. Rumors that the Kings have a huge trade deal in the works by the deadline that never pans out.

They are great at piling up picks but I am getting tired of all these picks that end up being turds.

A great coast to coast effort for Patrik Laine last night. It’s worth a look...

So believe it or not I have a Jeff Carter Flyers jersey. Back when the Winter Classic first became a thing, I bought 1 from the 1st one w/ the Pens (Staal) and then 1 from a team in 09 (Wings/Hossa) and then a team in 10 (Carter Flyers) Pens again in 11 (Fleury) and finally stopped because it was obvious that it was going to happen every year and not just an occasional thing lol. But anyways, during my want to get a Winter Classic jersey every year, I chose Carter that year ('10.) So I'm a fan from back in the day, even though he was a rival.

Tanev is out at least until the playoffs. No word on Malkin or Kapanen. It looks like Carter may get an opportunity to play top 6 for now. We will see what he has left at 36 years old. Their next game isn't until Thursday, so he will have a few days to practice with his new linemates. I must say though, Rodriguez has been a pleasant surprise, especially when playing on the 2nd line.

After watching Taylor Hall score 2 goals all year for the Sabres I am fully prepared for him to get a hatrick tonight for the Bruins while playing against the Sabres.

I also would not be surprised to see him break a leg in the corner and disappear from the collective hockey consciousness until fall. Watching Hall in Edmonton and NJ, whenever he goes try hard mode, he hurts himself.

Ya. I think it would be smart for him to play Center primarily. So I would expect him to be 3C when Geno is back. But with all of our current injuries, it's nice that he can be plugged in elsewhere, if needed.

And ya, I thought Ridriguez was a jabroni, when we got him. And I didn't like him last year, in general (was kinda bummed that we dealt Kahun.) But E Rod has played well and proven me wrong, so good for him.

Plus one thing the skews the results is briefly mentioned in the article. The East division teams all similarly upgraded. By that, I mean every team has picked up a significant upgrade on their top 6. So a normal low risk win, like Carter, could be considered a loss because it was the weakest pickup in the division. Somewhat the same in Canada. The Habs and Leafs upgraded, but the Jets and Oil did not. That might make them bigger losers because of what they didn't do, if the Leafs or Habs make it out of the North.
