Well... seems to me that since your truck doesn't have the 4wd flairs it should match pretty close to the same length....

    Ok...let me get this straight.

You have very minor damage caused by a shopping cart (picture in #1), you want a steel bumper to cause more damage to other vehicles, don't like the high strength off-road bumpers, yet don't want to pry $$$ from the wallet.

I'd say superglue the shopping cart damage and learn to live with life's bumps & bruises.

I think a vehicle with a metal bumper did it; The last time it got replaced (September 2020), it was a teenage girl in a 2012 Chevy Equinox making a tight left turn. I have a feeling they would have just left if I hadn't been watching when it happened, because they didn't think there was any damage. The Equinox's driver's door impacted my bumper and smooshed it in; The damage wasn't bad, but because it was a composite bumper it had to be replaced.

I've been tossing around the idea of a metal bumper for years because I want something that I can just repaint if it gets scraped up or the paint gets faded; I repainted the entire back bumper on my truck last year due to paint fade, but that's metal. When I paint plastic it never turns out as nice as metal.

If I were in your shoes, with a 5-lugger? Personally I'd rather replace a cheap plastic bumper fascia, than risk having the frame slightly tweaked because the plate bumper didn't give like the plastic fascia does. Shopping carts wouldn't be an issue, but morons backing out of parking spaces might be. If this were a trail rig, it'd be a different story - that kind of damage is expected. But a pavement princess 5-lug? I'd keep it plastic, just my $0.02

Regardless, I'm curious to see what you come up with. Good luck with this endeavor.

ahh.....so you didn't see the vehicle that caused the pictured damage......

I still think damage that minor wasn't caused by a car of any size.......looks like shopping cart damage.

I guess the most aggravating part is that I just got a new bumper essentially for free and I've gotta replace it again...

A similar thing happened when I got rear-ended by a texting driver in a 2006 Toyota Highlander March 2015; My rear bumper was original to the truck and just got kinda beat up. I got a new bumper on the other driver's insurance and all was good; In October 2015, a drunk 70-year old man in a 2002 Mercedes E320 ran a stop sign and slammed into the left corner of my truck, almost ripping the rear bumper off! Two bumpers in less than a year and neither incident was my fault!

    :annoyed:

I was just thinking that, but the scuff marks seem more consistent with somebody making a tight left turn out of an adjacent parking space...

    Yep, same
Had one on my 06, it was great.
I would assume it would bolt up the same on yours but you might want to shoot Brandon an email just to make sure
