Waiting now for Corporate to call me back before noon supposedly.
Such nonsense this is and I have to miss work on account I can't drive and talk about this issue that needs my full attention, I'd end up getting into an accident for sure.
I'm not being paid 146$ an hour to fix the screw ups they caused either.
But they did ask me if I wanted them to fix it again, I said no you should have fixed it the 1st time that I already paid for and I really don't trust you to work on my truck anymore at this point.

Big sticker guy Lots of wasted money

She just might be right, when I worked at a VW dealer years ago I remember someone telling my coworker to be careful with a bike and rack on the roof and sure enough it crushed the roof as soon as he put it in the air. Talking to friends still in the shops it seems to be way more common than I thought. Sucks that you have to waste the time you could be earning money from and you certainly have more patience than me, I'd have long lost my cool with this BS, the first person questioned should be the tech that s ridiculous.

Keeping my cool is how I stay ahead of them and slows me to think clearly.
Besides they are continuing to make themselves look bad, basically doing the work for me.

High praises to you Sir. I definitely would have lost my check and told them all to go fuck themselves by now. But that would have just made it worse.

You're taking the right approach. I hope they make this right for you. I really do.

Skierrichy, is this the Gale stealership in Enfield?
Hope they own up and make it right, they need to fix it and give you a loaner while they do it. If not, well it's a new world, social media and reviews reach far and wide and there's plenty of other dealers to do business with. Online reviews, BBB complaint, news media, there's ways to put pressure on them if going the nice route doesn't seem to work.

Of course I'm not suggesting harassment... but if enough of your friends were to contact them and let them know that they are taking their business elsewhere specifically due to this incident, well money talks. If they give a s**t of course. And if they don't, well then it's better that we all know that too. I would rather travel a bit and reward a good dealer than to spend money at a shitty one and I bet most people here would agree.

That's not a bad idea but I'd rather not waist my time, nor anyone else's time with Gale Toyota.
It's quite obvious at this point that they are incompetent at their job.
I get to play fix everything now, so at least I'll have some fun doing that.

Call the DMV and see if you can file a complaint. Repair shops in CT have to be licensed by the DMV.

Hello all, I’m relatively new to the Taco world. Been following this thread for awhile and interacted with a couple of you. But mostly lurking, which is NOT my style in real life.

So, I’m down here in the southwest corner of CT. Hoping to do some wheeling soon and get to meet some of you in person. Planning to wheel on May 1 in Putnam County, if anyone wants to join.

Seriously. 10 Tacomas roll up, even beat up old ones like mine, that's going to be 6 figures worth of Toyotas. I'm sure they don't want to piss off enthusiasts who may buy their next one there. Not to mention the reputation hit, it would be 100x cheaper to fix Richie's truck than to have the bad press

    This would be fun!
But it's just a waist of people's time.
There's so many things I could do but I just let karma do its job nowadays.
I am still going to drop off my busted wheel spacers with them and thank them for trashing my truck though.
Figure at the very least if they have a brain they will use the wheel spacers as a teaching tool.
Might save someone else a headache.

Word will get out from this thread, I do plan on posting it elsewhere just need some time to.
Besides I'd rather be wheeling or working on trucks or drinking beer with you guys versus antagonizing a situation that is apparently a useless waist of time.
