    Never heard that before and have done it lots of times - for very short durations though. Adam may have held this trout for 10-15 seconds at the most to get 2 pics. Have always seen them swim off fine.

    Been practicing 'catch & release' for probably 30 +/- years and have never heard of that or seen one die after doing it.

    What causes the mortality if I may ask???
