I found some magnetic rock light mounts on Amazon. Made under can mounting a breeze.

That is nice. I plan on taking a length of aluminum angle iron and cutting it into 1" wide bits and making a bunch of brackets and riveting these things all over the place. Since I have 12 I'll do 4 on each side and 4 down the center-ish of the truck. I won't need to be as particular with placement because there will be so many of them.

Just makes things easier for when they inevitably get smooshed.

I’ve never liked the design of the alpine relocate and this just proves it.

Yeah, it's just ripping the frame. It's a dumb design. Puts a loooooot of force on a long arm and has barely any connection to the frame.

yeah thats a poor design, I would have at least put a big ol plate on the frame behind it to help with distribution. Factory body mount is pretty beefy for a reason lol

Yeah exactly. Reinforce the frame there and also add another connection point to the mount, similar to the lil b.

Seems to help a lot with load distribution. I went with lil b and had a plate welded over the giant hole where the factory cab mount was located for extra support on the 2nd gens. I don’t foresee any issues with this design
